I took my boys for a burger not so long ago and did the receipt thing. My eldest is 14 and very manly looking and he wasn't impressed when they came over and asked if he wanted a balloon :rotfl:
Lol that's brilliant. The poor lad was probably sitting there thinking 'if isn't bad enough that i'm sitting here eating in a burger joint with my Mum or Dad i've now been offered a bloody balloon'.
You've set his street cred back at least 5 years lol0 -

I work with an autistic teenager (only just teens, but looks much younger) who is the burger joint's biggest fan, except for one aspect, which I will come to in a moment. When we visit, she has the burger with chips (but no bun, thanks, because she is gluten intolerant). I have to get a receipt so I can claim my expenses for feeding her. I usually ask for the receipt straight away, so that her food is hot and fresh. Of course!
So far, so good. Then it all goes horribly wrong. Enthusiastic team member comes over and offers the balloon. Hmmm, did they not notice that I ordered a burger without a bun? Young lass shrieks, young lass gesticulates furiously, young lass shouts, with increasing insistence, "no, noo, nooo, nooo." Enthusiastic team member adopts vacant expression, as if trying to recall what the "gypburger" notice on the office door says to do next. Enthusiastic team member clearly does not know how to close the curtain on the floor show. I do it for him by asking for a bag so that we can take the food away (oh, make that two bags; young lass would like a pristine one to take home with her as well).
I wouldn't be so bothered if we actually went to one of the branches that had my mugshot on the wall as "gypburger customer to spot.":D0 -

Proshopper you do know they circulate descriptions and car reg's between sites don't you? :rotfl:
There are several sites I get excellent service in no matter what I order "just in case"
Dropping myself in it a bit here but since I've been sacked it's immaterial... I have a friend who used to work for gypburger until recently and he said if his restaurant had a suspected gyp they'd call all the local gypburgers to warn them and give a description of the "suspect"
They also always check on the CCTV and show all the staff what the shopper looks like just in case the certain meal and receipt isn't obvious enough :wall: no wonder these particular MS's are so pointless... It's understandable why they resort to these tactics though, if they get 100% on both of their shops for the month every member of staff at the restaurant gets XXp (can't remember exactly but think it was 50p) an hour bonus the following month :cool:0 -

I do get cross with myself, I did a "new" client for Catalyst, however I did it because they said that I would get the April payments this week. Guess what still no payment and I feel VERY CROSS that I did the new job. I have got to learn to stop being so soft and say NO when companies phone. Still after my gap sacking I don't avoid phone calls now!No Matter what you do there will be critics.0

Does anyone know if Amber Arch has a set payout date? I've been paid for one job with them, but there's another I did on the same day that I'm still waiting for. Ho hum. It's not so much the fee I want, but the reimbursement.
Also, I did a department store cafe for ABAi yesterday and the instructions were to get a hot meal and a hot drink. Of course when I went in the coffee machine was broken and they couldn't serve any hot drinks at all, no coffees, teas, or hot chocolates. Will they still accept my report? It seems a bit unfair if they don't, I ordered one of those iced coffees that they have to blend so that there was at least some preparation involved.0 -

I'm sure they will; they are very reasonable. I once couldn't get a receipt on one of their coffee jobs because the machine jammed or something. I did one of those yesterday, but mine definitely said hot meal and either hot or cold drink.0 -
Phew, I just did my first mystery shop in my lunch break. I hope the report is okay, I wasn't really sure how much to write in the comment boxes, or whether I should write something in the non-compulsory ones. Hopefully I'll hear the outcome soon. It was for RE. I've signed up to 11 agencies in the past few days, so I've lost track of how each one assesses you and when you hear back from them. There seem to be quite a few jobs available in my area across the agencies I'm with, but some of them seem like not much money for the work involved. I'm doing another one tomorrow with Retail Maxim, but I'm a bit confused because the brief seems to contradict itself.0

Pet, drop the contact a quick email and I am sure she will put your mind at ease.I'm doing another one tomorrow with Retail Maxim, but I'm a bit confused because the brief seems to contradict itself.
Give them a quick tinkle and see what they say. They are normally really helpful.
Just checked GFK and there were 6 overseas transfer banks waiting to be picked and no email was sent, so keep your eyes peeled. Also, a few TV stores were on there.0
