Hows the new house MSL?
Fantastic thank you. STil some serious DIY to perform but nothing that shouldn't be tied up and perfect for xmas.
By the way. What exactally is the method for getting out of date jobs between for hours of 1am and 7.10am?
Before bed, there they were, woke up and gone:( (there will be no comments about the fact I check RE before bed and when I wake lol)I get what i want. That isn't because i'm a brat or spoilt. It's because i'm determined, i work hard for it and i achieve my goals!0 -
I've been sacked by GapBuster this morning for no reason at all.
"Following best business practice, our clients require us to continually provide a broad range of shoppers to complete their evaluations; therefore, we periodically review our shopper database. This is a great way to ensure GAPbuster consistently delivers quality results to our clients.
As a result of this practice we often remove shoppers from our system, and in this instance, you will not be required to complete any further assignments for GAPbuster. Any jobs assigned to you which have not yet been submitted have been cancelled from your account - please do not complete the assignment(s)."
I have been with them for about 2 years now and never had a problem with them so who knows why they do these.0 -

They do change the dates on assignments during the night sometimes.
Before I went to bed on Saturday I noticed a restaurant one I would have liked pop up for that night. When I got up for my early shift at 5am the next day, it was still there but for the next week.
I guess sometime during the night those phone call jobs had the dates extended on them. But it wasn't me who got them!0 -

I haven't posted for a while, by drop by every so often to see what's going on.
I can't help but notice the same old problems keep coming up - low fees, (or fees not even enough to reimburse the required spend), agencies not responding to emails, shoppers being sacked for no valid reason, late payment of fees etc, etc, etc.
Have any of you thought of starting your own mystery shopping agency (either individually or as a partnership wit other local MSers from the forum) ?
The fees would certainly be a darn site better!
I'm not suggesting you try and compete with the national agencies, but there are hundreds of local businesses that could benefit from mystery shopping services that you could target.
Anyway, just a thought....
It is something I pondered, and it wouldnt be hard to get clients as we know what (generally) the fees are, although we dont know how much of a markup the agencies make on top.
You would just have to contact the retailers HQ's and see if you can strike up deals.0 -
For GFK phones, how is the visit validated, can't see anything. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

This is the $64,000 question. There is no logic to it whatsoever and happens to everyone eventually with them. They are the only company I have ever heard of that gets shot of shoppers who perform well.
Think of the weight you will lose. I'm nearly 3 stone lighter now than I was when they sacked me and its all down to burgers.0 -

To answer my own question, a picture of the front of the store is OK. GFK said they made a mistake by not detailing how on the notes. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

I agree, it was not a nice email to wake up. I have never been sacked by anyone in my life before - I think they are doing a clear out of the genuine decent shoppers - well good luck to them!
I at least as BoyoBoy says can now concentrate on stopping putting the weight on and stop being pestered by their allocators begging me to do last minute burger jobs for them....0
