Have been this afternoon for a review with my bank (under my own steam and not an MS). The MOS is going through the transactions on my account and working out my average monthly earnings when he says 'OH, are you a mystery shopper?' to which my face went bright red and I started to blush.

Remind me never again to go for a review when GFK have a huge wave on the go.....

You could have said that you work for them as a market research interviewer. But it is difficult when you are on the spot:D

I once got asked if I was an MSer as they were suspicious about the scenario enquiry I had to make. I told them I was not and asked what they meant, but I was not very convincing!!

I just smiled in the end and made up a random question in order to move the conversation away from it. I can safely say that the MOS has excellent knowledge of the inclusive travel insurance that comes with their current accounts

I've just had a score back from Bare for my report and wondered if there is anyway of finding out why I got that score, so I can try and improve next time. Quite pleased with the score, but would like to know where I dropped a point or two. Sorry, if someone's asked this before. I did have a search of the thread but couldn't find it.

Bare are one of the best companies for feedback (I find). If the reviewer comments aren't giving you any clues, why don't you email them? Bare are generally pretty good at assessor support (although they do have failings in some other areas).

P.S. There was another upload of chemists on RA today - not enough to justify me posting an alert, but someone may be interested.

My banks are aware that I work in "retail intelligence" as well as in other areas. If asked, I say that I work as an independant contractor and make vague references to profit protection, merchandising, retail compliance, etc. I NEVER mention mystery shopping. If that gets mentioned to me, I make a dismissive comment about that being "something different," that I know nothing about.

With the fairly new Gap restaurants which could be said to be small, the fee is stated as all reimbursement. Is it all given whether or not you spend that much, if that makes sense?
