Not to be rude, but are you someone's sock puppet? A cursory glance at your posting history suggests you've not posted in an ms related thread for at least the last couple of years.

I only ask because when someone steps in and posts multiple defences of someone else on a forum who have never been in that subforum before I get suspicious about who they are and what their motives are...

Well I hope you check your assignment briefs better than my post history because to say I have never been in this subforum is simply not true. I used to spend a lot of time in here until mystery shopping became the next big thing to make your first million on and loads of people jumped onto the bandwaggon. I am a damn good video shopper with a very good reputation who is always busy so I have better things to do that be in here day in day out. Having said that I do pop in here and read so I do know whats happening in the world of mystery shopping. I am also a regular at other places where professional shoppers are able to keep in touch. I much prefer the more professional places to this unwelcome place. Just when I think things are turning around I witness nastiness again.

So you carry on being suspicious and wondering about my motive, ill carry on working.

Now you are just being silly. Clearly it comes out of your bank if thats how you chose to pay but you implied they just randomly took money from your account for it just by signing up with them.

Do you know what, I simply cannot be bothered with this place. You call yourselves professionals and moan when other professional shoppers talk about this thread in a negative manner but its all brought on by yourselves and the way you treat people and companies. I dop in now and again as I think things may have changed but time and time again I see the same old nastiness, unwelcomeness and complete and utter stupidity from people asking questions when a quick search would provide the answers of people werent so damn lazy and just wanting to earn a quick quid.

Ouch! Thank you for your analogy of me. You're being personal now and I take offence.

I've found this forum quite nice since I've been here (aside from the stupid questions, which having said that now I'm hoping I haven't been guilty of when I was first here, oo-er!). When I first started using MSE and the MS thread, only about 7-8 months ago, I read through loads from older threads to try and get a nice basis of MS knowledge etc, and kept seeing nasty comments, and it seemed a bit cliquey, but I haven't really noticed that lately. :)
Think you must have dropped in at a bad time Carolwat.

Can we all play nicely again now please...

Carol I wouldn't take it personally, this forum isn't mystery shopping dedicated such as the Office or MSUK, as such the same old questions do come up, and although there may be 'the same old nastiness' you'll see a number of people jumped immediately to your defence.

Where did I state I was talking about you? Stop being so paranoid.

Thank you to those who know me and have vouched for me. I have just seen your messages. Personally I dont much care what people say about me, they dont know me and so long as its based on facts from what they discover on here or elsewhere they may have bumped into me fair enough but when its a load of rubbish from people too lazy to check properly I have no patience for it.

Fair criticsim, your original question was warranted, even if the flippant 'cash or cheque' was taken the wrong way.

As it came up I've take a quick look at MSUK and the office, there are limited threads re: MSL on either, not that I'm suggesting there a dodgy company, but although Carol & Jen_br recommend them they may (for all I know) be very regional as such I can't see anything that would suggest that people should take their certification, also given the recent 'race to the bottom' amongst some companies I don't like their 'reserve the right' to charge shoppers for the 2 year re-certification test. Given that the test only relates to MSL it could easily be made into another revenue stream.

Although you've got to remember that probably comparatively there are a lot more 'newbies' on here compared to the dedicated sites, you will also get more people who will see mystery shopping as a quick buck and won't 'last the course' compared to other sites as people 'wander in' from other parts of MSE.

Because you quoted my post. By the way, an MS company you are probably familiar with use to pay me in cash via 1st class post. Sorry if you found my question "silly".

Hadn't thought about that, I withdraw my 'flippant' comment :D

I think that some people have jumped on you and the rep for no reason on here however, I do think that the comment in bold is a bit unfair. Yes there are "newbies" on here (me being one of them) but I and others are certainly not in this to "earn a quick quid".

Yes searching more would help before posting, but you know what, this was supposed to be a nice and welcoming thread (or at least that's the impression I got) and surely questions and queries should be welcomed. Everyone on here was new once upon a blue moon. When you start something new it can be very daunting and overwhelming and you can miss things, especially when its lost in 200 odd pages worth of a thread.

Anyways - I hope you do come back carolwat, I like reading and learning more from the professional shoppers on here and hope that one day I can say my reports and work is as good as some of them on here :D
