Just to clarify one point I proably registered with MSL 9-12 months ago. I've never received any communication from them as such given Carol and Jen seem to suggest there is a lot of work around I am not convinced that the 'optional' test is optional in practice for new members.

In fairness, have you tried contacting them? Maybe they forgot to activate your account or something daft like that.

If they ignore your email as they did with all mine, then obviously there's something wrong.

    Waste of space that company.

Agreed 100% :D, I did a couple of jobs for them before they 'accelerated' in their race to the bottom, I've now set my 'shopping area' to the minimum in the profile to try and avoid the 1000 calls asking if I'll do the same job!

Maybe I'll give MSL another chance at some point in the future, I trust Jen's judgement implicitly, but atm, for me at least; there are just too many questions unanswered.

I hadn't as I'd forgotten all about them until it came up! sent Lizzie a PM so am intending to follow up now, I just thought I'd add the post given the views of 'experienced' MSL shoppers such as Jen & Carol might not necessarily be respresentative of new shoppers, so will follow up and will 'correct my assumption' if I'm proved wrong.

What area are you from? I know they are struggling with some jobs right now and perhaps a call to them would get you on your way. I have sent new shoppers to MSL recently and they havnt done the test.

Also do you have your own covert kit and what is it?

Indeed. Even the shysters that are Retail Eyes don't charge to join!

Wow, maybe a new business model for them though...just think, 160,000 new shoppers at a tenner a pop. This time next year...

hmmmm although given the way it is usual to receive proof reading queries that have nothing to do wth the questions I wouldn't be at all confident in passing!!

    Buckinghamshire....

and I haven't ventured into video yet.

To be fair to them Monkey might be right and my account may be screwed up, I had a 'spurt' of finding and applying to new companies and I didn't chase them up - the arrival of my son left me a bit preoccupied :D

Ah right well in that case I cant help as I only do video work and have no idea what MSL do that isnt video other than the shoppers they use to accompany us video shoppers when required. Its worth calling them though and make sure you ask about accompanied work too. Also might be worth mentioning your car if its up to 3 years old. They do service jobs where you would take your car and someone like me would accompany you and film you. Make the call tomorrow. Seriously its a damn good company and I dont say that about many.

Im off to bed now but I will pop back tomorrow if you have any more questions especially as Lizzie has already said shes off tomorrow.

I've done one job for MSL but not seen a thing within a 50-mile-radius since the end of last year. I did a bingo club for them, and that client's bingo clubs and casinos were all I ever saw, then at the start of this year those disappeared too and even with a 50-mile-radius I've seen nothing at all.

Anyone know if there's a 25+ age restriction on the majority of jobs or something else if it's not regional?
