Heard on the radio the duty is due to increase next month,
Anyone know what increase it is supposed to be & what date? Have a link to the increase figures for petrol & LPG?
http://www.trackcompare.co.uk/april-fuel-duty-increase-could-reach-23p-per-gallon
Planned date is 1st April, 1p abouve inflation so you should be lloking at 5ppl.
I work in the oil industry and we have been aware of this for sometime, that plus the daily increases we are seeing makes it a joke.I all have learnt is from others on many sites.
Seek legal help if unsure.
Dont pay Private Parking tickets - they are mere invoices.

My Tesco is always the first in the area to put up their fuel, shortly followed by Jet, then this other one (can't remember name) and finally Sainsbugs.0 -

I haven't a clue. My Tesco has never stopped it.0 -
I normally hear the term "Dino" used to describe engine oil, e.g. mineral vs synthetic.Petrol could also be called that then I suppose.:Dworried_jim wrote: »Diesel is partly made from oil which is partly formed from dead dinosaurs hence the term dino.
You're all right. To begin with, the oil is pumped out of the ground wherever; Canada, Africa etc. There are different qualities. The oil is sent to a refinery which splits the oil through a process that I cannot remember. The result is different types of oil.
When processing plants get mineral ore, they break it down, melt it, and separate it into iron, copper etc. Similar result with oil in a way.
One part is Diesel, another is used as Unleaded, another is engine oil, another is used as for planes, etc. Different crude oil gives different results.0 -

even someone working in the oil industry finds it a joke. I find it the increase is one of the worst joke ever created.0 -

Unleaded was 124.9 and Diesel was 129.9

It's not ideal but still not panic stations just yet.0
