I panic that I panic too much and when I am not panicing I panic that maybe I should be.Iva started Dec 2018.0 -

If it was a certain blue supermarket then its because everyone has money off vouchers at the moment due to the spend £50 get a 5p/l voucher. Our local always backs up during the few weeks this promotion is on.
Our Tesco does that fuel offer all the time lately, but it means squat round here. They usually rack up their fuel prices first, so when you get your 5p/l voucher, it knocks the price down to that of Sainsbug's fuel. Also, best to go to our Sainsbug's petrol station as it's better quality fuel.0 -

Even if they do do that it still causes backup at the pumps as not everyone notices the raise in prices around this time.0 -
At work (Tesco) we're currently 125.9 for unleaded and 129.9 for diesel, cheapest around by a penny at the moment, plus we have the 5p off coupon...its been non stop! Be interesting to see how much we take, its normally around £70k-£80k a day, wouldn't be surprised if its nearer £100k.
Didn't help on Friday when the front of the local paper was saying about fuel prices going up!What is pi? Where did it come from?0 -

Not so useful now.
During the 2001 protests, I was running a 1987 Ford Escort on 4 star, which most folk couldn't use.
Can't get 4 star any more, just Unleaded and Super, which everyone can use.
Does remind me of one idiot I encountered though, filled up with 4 star then asks the cashier, "will my car be OK on 4 star?", Cashier looks out, H reg Peugeot 305, "yeah, it'll probably be ok", "oh good, because you've run out of diesel" :rotfl:0 -
