Panic early and panic often... indeed don't stop panicking, best to just stay in a permanent state of panic - doing that saves any sudden panics...0 -
It's all a bit futile you get one more tank at the current rates but when the price goes up you have to buy more every week anyway. So you've saved max £3 big deal, I can save £3 every week just by finding a reduced price bargain for tomorrows dinner/lunch at 8:30pm at the local Tesco.
However, if like me, you buy your road fuel on account in advance at £300 - £400 a time, you can save a little bit more.0 -
They was saying on my local radio station yesterday that in a certain part of the country ( sorry but i forgot where they said it was) there was going to be a go slow protest over the price of petrol.0

Yet another reason to keep our "dinosaur" of a car that has !!!!!! all in the way of electronics, and is so "old school" in design that it will quite happily start & run on just about any old rubbish you throw in the tank without any modifications at all.
As for fuel running out, I doubt for one minute the government will let that happen as it would cause utter chaos and they know it.Remember kids, it's the volts that jolt and the mills that kill.0 -
It seems as if the garages are cashing-in with price rises.
The petrol was already in the Country, much of it was already in the tanks at the garage, they've not had to pay the new higher oil prices 'cos of the trouble in the Middle East.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,
What it may grow to in time, I know not what.

Oil Companies stockpile 90days worth of oil for occasions like this.. so thats why it`s rediculous when they put the price up within a week when they bought the oil months ago. :mad:0

It's been 125.9p for unleaded in my town for a few weeks now.
I always try to avoid fuel stations on Saturday's as they are always busy. I got caught out last Saturday and needed to fill up for a last minute journey. Ended up queuing at Asda for ages. Not my kind of fun.0 -
