Panic at the pumps again

I like it when there is a fuel shortage?
Just show my ID and uniform and go to the front of the que.0 -
Where is this "panic"?
The price of fuel around here is exactly the same as it was two weeks ago (124.9ppl).0 -
Sainsbury's fuel station seems busy every day now. Queue outside the entrance. Any time of the day.
Between 4 and 6pm people must use as much fuel queueing than they can put into the tanks.
Queue is long.
I went today about 2pm people wont just choose a pump and wait they block 2 or 3 lanes sometimes more.
I drove in today behind a guy on a scooter, I thought he wont be long. Guy in front of me pulled up behind a
woman in a little 205 hatchback who was already filling. She finished 1st but the scooter guy was soon done.
I was filled and paid before the woman came back out. She must have queued then paid for the fuel then
gone around the shop and picked up a few bits then queued again.
Strange that veggie oil goes up in price to match the price of diesel, Also strange that it used to cost about £30p
a litre until it was shown on tv that diesel cars will run on it.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
126.9p here now yay.
So glad I'm picking up a much more economical car on Wed :rotfl:0 -
Our local Tesco has increased their prices to £1.279 for petrol and £1.319 for diesel. This happened the day after the 5p off promo ended.0

My local Tesco as per usual is the most expensive around @ 134.9p for dino and 129.9p for petrol. The local Shell is 132.9p for dino and 127.8p for petrol. A tank of dino @ Tesco for me will be £80.94 and at shell £79.74.0

^^^^dino?
Never heard that before.
Where does that come from?0 -
I just went to do my fortnightly fill up this morning and was confronted by a large volume of vechiles queing for petrol.I decided to wait for 5/10 minutes and when I came out of the shops it was even worse.I,ve never known such a nation of panicers,ok Libyia is in turmoil but petrol wont run dry and if it goes up soon it will be a few pence which you have wasted ticking over in the petrol queues,.Just top up when you need too and we will be ok.
How do you know they were panicking?
Unless they were running around like this >>>
Maybe there was just a queue. You were there. You were at the petrol pumps. You needed fuel. Were you panicking? I've seen me miss rush hour traffic by a couple of minutes. I can get held up by 30 minutes more. Yet on another day, I can miss it completely and the roads are pretty clear. Sometimes there are queues. Chances are you could pass that petrol station in an hour and there would be hardly anyone there.0 -
The Asda near me has just gone up to 126.9pDeleted_User wrote: »It's been 125.9p for unleaded in my town for a few weeks now.
I always try to avoid fuel stations on Saturday's as they are always busy. I got caught out last Saturday and needed to fill up for a last minute journey. Ended up queuing at Asda for ages. Not my kind of fun.

Does anyone know when the 5p off per litre at Tesco when you spend £50 ends please? I've searched high and low but can't see anywhere that gives the information. It's 5 o'clock somewhere!0
