Thanks so much for posting this Gleeful, really kind of you to think of me. Sadly (for my sanity and my bank balance!) I'm not so keen on this one. I really liked the small detailed flowers on the Masquerade, which the Meredith doesn't have. I will definitely try to track this down in a local shop to see what it is like in real life though, thank you :)

It has little crystals sewn in the pleaty things. I've another one in mind, I'll find it and post it up.

I love IS dresses. Walking works of art. I do love Flowerbomb, but just want to snip my scissors to neaten off some of the tulle, but that's me. Love the whole concept of it and know it will photograph amazingly!!

Oh wow - !! I know what you mean about needing a good haircut!:)

I was rather hoping that you would say you thought it was really bad poor quality or something:rotfl:

I need to try this dress on !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not sure my mum, who has kindly offered to pay for my dress, will be of that opinion. :(

    Oh dear:undecided

I think I should have avoided this thread as now I am totally in love with 4 Maggie Sottero dresses:( The Natasha, Florence, Perri and the Doreen.

Not sure I would pay the ridiculous prices for them though but they are GORGEOUS!!!!
Turning our clutter to top up our house deposit: £3000/£303.05 we're on our way!

Thats the trouble - sometimes is best not to see things - then you never know what you are missing!:rotfl:

    Hi girlies,

I'm in love with Premiere and Muse. Both completely different but STUNNING!! Although, I have no idea on the price! :o

Trying to find a similar design that comes close but everything falls short!

I've seen lots of dresses that I like but I don't know if they will suit the venue (a hotel with a HUGE garden), and the time of year (New Years Eve!) Like everyone else, I want a WOW dress but one thats comfortable and easy to dance in!
  • Love love love IS dresses :D

I (or rather my mum) bought my IS dress at the national wedding show in Birmingham back in 2009 - I get married later this year but when you find "the one" you just have to have it ;)

My dress is a limited edition design so there are only 3 others like it in the world. It was originally £2500 but as I bought it at the show I got it for £1850 - still way over the budget my mum had originally planned but she loved it on me so much and could tell I loved it too she said it didn't matter about the price. (very lovely mummy! :D)

I would recommend ringing around the stockists though if you do have your heart set on a particular dress - I have heard of people getting good deals by doing this. Also some of the shops may be getting rid of their sample dresses - if you happen to be lucky enough to find a shop selling your required dress in your size as a sample you could save LOADS! Also keep an eye on ebay and preloved as other people have said. If you really want the dress without the price tag a "worn once" dress when its been cleaned could be the answer. rockmywedding also has a section for people selling dresses called "undress" - sometimes its just because they've changed their minds so they haven't been worn at all. Also its an ace site for inspiration!

Premiere is about £1500, Muse £2200.

    I feel embarassed that I know that..........:o
