  • Oooh, this is totally my day. The charcoal and yellow school type scarf I asked santa for (santa forgot and I had a lovely pashmina instead) is now £8.50 (down from £29)! So free with my voucher!

How often do you get your the one accessory you've been lusting after for free?

I shall spread the karma with some good deeds tomorrow!

    Thanks OP

  • There are @ least 10 + people on here who have used the code on HUKD ... Thing is alot of people have been burnt by these codes and often we didn't even KNOW we 'weren't supposed to use it'

At least this OP has stated it was from a mailshot , hasn't shared the personal code and therefore no disappointment caused...

Where it gets CONFUSING is if someone posts a code saying ''get £10 off , no minimum spend''!!! and everyone assumes that of course EVERYONE can use it as its not stated as user specific

Alot of companies DO give out codes which are open for and they even WANT everyone to use - I was even ASKED by a company on Facebook to share the code on the forum!

But it does get confusing ( esp for newbies ) to decipher which codes they are entitled to use and which they are not ( esp when the wording seems to imply its open for everyone to use )

Like I said I myself was burnt in this way 3 times by using a code I THOUGHT that EVERYONE could use due to the wording & no warning whatsoever about orders being cancelled , charged in full or even the code being user specific...

I honestly think we should all check and be viligant when posting codes to MAKE SURE they are for EVERYONE

The one I used from HUKD ( for Woolworths ) a while back worded as for everyone caused me SO much stress , my order disappeared from their site , they had NO record of it yet the money was taken from my account & I then was then treated like a criminal!!!

So anyway , be careful if it is not your own personal code sent to you from these companies - The SAD thing is I get sent codes all the time now which I AM entitled to use but the bad experiences in the past have put me off from using them entirely now!! :-(

My philosophy with code use is simple. Always bare in mind you could end up paying full price if the code gets rejected. If it works then great, but if it doesn't then I knew the risk. In the case of Boden paying 13.00 for 2 x tops is a fairly reasonable deal anyhow and if I get it for 3.00 then even better!
  • Ive just ordered a free top for DS, did not have to enter any card details so heres hoping, nothing to loose, thanks OP

whats if they do a credit, so they do credit check om you and give you credit, jd williams doesnt ask for card details and next thing you have a credit account with them. Please do look into it.

Boden don't offer credit so that won't happen.
