You've got to admire the imaginative marketing:
Reasons to choose our Standard tariff:
- Standard is our most popular tariff
:rotfl:
Gotta get me some of that then0 -
Yes and that's the standard tariff. Was that the one appearing at the top of your Uswitch comparison table? Or was it BG Websaver 11?
As i stated in an earlier post i am on PAYG Prepayment so that is what i entered in the search.
Result was for "Prepayment Dual Fuel" not Websaver 110 -
And what can you get for 10,000 Nectar points...??Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0

If spent at Sainsburys etc 1000 pts = £5 so 10,000 = £50 plus your quarterly points0 -
There doesn't seem to be any reference that the 10,000 points applies to PAYG, only standard.
If they offerred this on the phone, I would be extremely wary.
In itself this PAYG tariff is expensive anyway and not suitable for most customers. If it suits you, fine and if you have the points that's great.
Unfortunately, your headline grabbing title doesn't stack up economically for most people.0 -
Kim Yeovil you may not need to save paultry amounts like this but we are not all in your fortunate position, that is why we come to sites like this. Oh yes why are you here?
Myself i would like to thank Martyn Lewis for helping us less fortunate.
If money is tight why waste it on a silly indulgence like a prepayment meter?0 -

Well i'm sorry if i misled anyone, that was definitely not intentional. I thought i was being helpful.
Amazingly i have just checked my Nectar acc & the 10,000 points are all in.0 -

So they've given you 10,000 points before the switch is even completed  (in your original post on the 23rd said you initiated the switch over a week ago however it noramlly takes around 6 weeks). You might still be in the cooling off period, if you are then I'd cancel and take the free points0 -
I switched over a week ago but havn't been changed over yet when i got the email about this. I phoned & said if i didn't get them i would cancel & they agreed to let me have them.
Amazingly i have just checked my Nectar acc & the 10,000 points are all in.
So, you got 10,000 Nectar points up front, even though you aren't on the eligible tariff, they are normally credited over a period of 12 months and before the 'change over'. (whatever that means?) .
You were singled out for this extra special offer then?0
