today we went to a warehouse clearance sale thing that happens once a month near us, like all of these things there are nuggets of gold amongst a load of !!!! .... we hadnt budgeted to buy anything so were just going for a look ( mil and fil had asked us to go with them) whilst there though hubby found a shirt for £5 jeans for £8 and work trousers for £15, they seemed to fit him well and he was impressed so together we decided that the overtime i had earned this month would go to buy him some clothes i earned extra due to overtime ... i was planning on keeping it for emergencies and i will still manage to keep a wee bit but i spose it is good to also buy something and hubby did need new clothes ... mil bought him a lovely leather jacket for his birthday so hubby is a happy chappie
since he decided to give up drinking he has tried to smarten up his appearance ... i have noticed a wee obsession with jackets is looming on the horizon lol .. i think it helps with his feelings of self worth which in turn will help him (hopefully) deal with his addiction on the mental level
he seems to slowly be having his cognative shift about alcohol but has noticed that he still struggles some days so has referred himself back for more counselling he did try to talk to me about it but the truth is i cant help him and i dont want to either ... i am not his counsellor i am his wife .... somethings need to be done with outside help ..,. it is important we work on our marriage and i dont feel able to do that if i am having to counselling him about his alcohol issues .... i think also that as i am married to him i cant always be objective and can only be subjective ... but atleast i am aware of it0 -

For what it's worth I think you are right - you can't easily counsel people you are close to - so good call I'd say.
And sounds like he should be a grateful hubby for his new outfits! Did you find anything for yourself?0 -
I wish miz ... Hubby and fil resembled what I can only imagine ( as I aint a fan of shopping at all) a frenzied attack of ooooo I want ... They were pushing people out the way so that they could check sizes etc ... Mil ( who LOVES shopping ) and I stood staring at them shaking our heads
I also tend to find being 5ft 1 fat and apple shaped clothes shopping for me really isn't an enjoyable experience so I avoid it till I have no other option ... The jeans I have worn for a few years now grew a hole the other week ... I got upset about it ... Not that I liked them or anything ( infact I really don't) but because that means I need to go buy more soon0
