I can relate to the dropping of friends. It can be hard, but I have given chasing a lot of my old friends because it was ALWAYS me who phoned, emailed etc and it got me down in the end. So now I have given up....
Now I just have to find some RL friends over here. That is proving STILL harder than it should be .......

Is there any particular reason for that Chev ? Culture etc maybe ? ... I really should get some real friends that live close to me myself but I'm finding as I'm getting older I am much more fussy, the things that I let slide in a friendship before I won't know ... On the one hand that's actually a good thing ... But on the other hand not so good tbh ... I don't mind so much not having real friends close by as I am a bit of a loner anyway and when things are happening in my life I don't tend to look to my friends for advice often ( I do sometimes though) as usually I like to think it through and decide for myself what I want to happen and I feel sometimes friends can cloud that process
How knows maybe I shouldn't have real friends that live close by0 -
Sorry about the spelling on the phone again0

Well done on the treadmill moving El, I just seem to be in boxland atm
Must admit - I'd probably be a darn sight more blunt now, if someone made a comment like that after having acted that way themselves. Definately think I'm getting old and codgy :rotfl:

Elantan. you know I still don't know why it is. I think having two very bouncy boys may not help. They sometimes are very loud and very fidgety? Often they drive me round the twist (and in public) and I growl at them. Maybe this makes me look a bit fierce or something. Honestly I don't know. I am pleasant to grown ups, but am very shy so haven't worked up the courage to ask people round. And to be honest the house was always a mess too. I still had post natal depression when I got here, and though I am now off the medication I wonder if that affected responses too. I have found since the depression that I find it very hard to judge peoples reactions and a couple of times I have been told I have been too blunt. I think it is harder here if you are white and an immigrant as people assume that you will just fit in. But alot of the time I find it hard to bite my tongue when people are being so insular! People here are so welcoming if your visiting, but it is ALOT harder to make friends amongst the locals...

I think I need the rest now. I am not as young as I might once have been.
