    Hey elantan,

    Just been reading through the last month....looks like you're already ahead of schedule in the 100 month challenge! I've been trying to go the same way as you're getting your husband to go...vegetarian, but I'm rubbish at cooking and thinking up foods so it's mainly pasta, rice, soup and cheese on toast!

    As you mentioned in your post on my journal, the little things all add up, and putting together a few of those will result in a big difference.

    All the best, hope month two goes as well as month one!

    How interesting that when you slide you stop writing ... when I slide I can't do face to face or emails, but my journal has loads of ramblings!!! And as soon as I start feeling better, it goes by the wayside (so I never know what gets me to the top, nor what tips me over ;))

    I'm now keeping a fun and appointment diary (it has one page for home and the opposite page for 'work' (only tenuous association with this bit, as i've made a resolution to only do w**k I like). Actually, I count my self sooo fortunate that at this moment I am able to choose ... hence the reason I have 4 baby businesses all growing at different rates at the same time :)

    it's funny how we are all different ... it's not that i dont want to write just like i want to eat healthy ... it becomes more of a stress to be able to do these things ... having to think about what i want to write even if it is something like i am having a crap day takes effort ....

    like actually making a meal requires me to cook ... whereas looking in the fridge and seeing something that can just be eaten whilst my brain is in gear about what i want etc is more than i am capable of when i get stressed sometimes ... i think the whole issue with the husband brought that home to me recently ... where as before i behaved this way but wasnt aware of it ... now i am so i am going to have to find ways to deal with this

    nice one having the four businesses ... what type of stuff do you do ?

    were trying the whole vegetarian with meat added for hubby ... some things he is struggling with some he is ok with ... he even ate a few veggie meals through the week ( i was in shock lol) we tried the meat way but with the meat taken out for me ... it really didnt work out sadly ... the meals were designed round the meat so it didnt really work ... this way the meals are designed round the veggies with hubby adding meat in ... he has done well although he did insist on bacon the other day ... then boasted about how delicious it was ... i sat and smirked cause were having our wee competition and bacon is worse for you than porridge ( which i do love btw)

    thanks for the best wishes ... month two will bring excitement in one way or another .... how to manage theme parks with no money will be a continuing saga i am sure

    well today see's us shoping for week two of the challenge ... how are things going ... well we managed week one much better than i thought we wouldve ... this week the spend should be £19.19 will need to see though as we have added bread milk red lentils and kitchen roll to the list so i think it will be a tad more lol

    hubby had a few lagers after the day we had yesterday .. it was wonderful ... we spent it in the nature park helping them prune the fruit trees ... i love that place so much ... for me it is like a slice of heaven ... it's not really the place it's the memories of the people and times that i had in the place ... so to get to spend some time with those people again is really wonderful ... just over a year ago the earthship burned down and we had a chat about it and the fun/ hardeness of the project and where it wouldve been now if it hadnt been destroyed etc ...

    i'm night shift for the next four nights it's gonna be a tough four nights but i plan on working on the Tim Ferris book ... i really want to give this a good go ... and in doing so i have taken out my journal and plan on doing the work in there

    anyway better head off and get some shopping done

    Sounds like the veggie/ non veggie meals are going quite well - seems to be quite popular at the moment to eat less meat - as in this book and a lot of the River Cottage recipes.

    Good luck with the shopping today!

    El -

    - I am dabbling with Network Marketing and the selling of Aloe Vera products;
    - I run workshops to show women how they can eat what they want, be the size they want and never, EVER diet;
    - I am a mobile reflexologist;
    - write and present tailored IT courses (and would do a bit of testing or project management if someone wanted me to and was flexible enough to let me do it part time)

    But outside of this I am having a year of adventuring ...
    - I am off on my second foreign trip of the year tomorrow (independantly round northern India on a budget) and this could be back to back with a business trip to Vienna
    - I have places in the GMR, GNR and the Liverpool Marathon (I have never run more than 6 miles)
    - I am doing a charity zip wire across the Manchester Ship Canal to celebrate being another year older
    - I am gonna rip my back garden up and turn it into an allotment

    Well, life's for living ain't it :)
