    Can't believe it - the house is sparkling:j , OH is snoring:rolleyes: , the debris from exchanging of gifts with my mum & dad and SIL is cleared:D and the kids are still not 100% asleep so I can't get their presents out of my bedroom:eek:
    I was awake at 6 am this morning so I am absolutely shattered. Best laid plans and all that:rolleyes:
    Still Merry Christmas everyone:beer:
    And you never know perhaps I'll meet Santa when he pops down the chimney this year (or perhaps I'll just go guzzle his glass of wine & choccies:D )

    All those empty washing baskets . . . well done everyone!

    The day is all but over here - I'm on my way to bed. It's been an awesome day and I hope yours is as happy and blessed as mine was.

    And now the clean up begins . . . . . . .

    Boxing Day sees me:
    Doing laundry;
    Clearing up all wrapping paper left lying around;
    Cleaning up kitchen bench, washing excess dishes;
    Recycle wine bottles;
    Making sure all pressies make their way to appropriate places;
    Taking down Christmas tree - kitties attacked it too much, not worth trying to fix it up LOL;
    Josh & I walked down to shop to return broken watch and we got another one;
    Bought some sausages and patties to BBQ for dinner tonight.

    Those things are all done.

    To go:
    Business finances - still!
    Ironing;
    Eat leftovers;
    Drink some more :)

    Hope you've all had a wonderful day :)

  • Happy boxing day everyone, and happy birthday pigpen :beer:

    I haven't stopped today. DH got up early with baby and left me snoozing, and also cooked us a lovely breakie of poached egg on toast with ham. I have then spent the day tidying up all the paper, taking pressies out of cardboard and working out where to keep all the toys as my mum went absolutely mad for charlies 1st xmas, and i just now the in-laws will have done the same.

    I've done 4 loads of washing, lots of ironing (about 2 hours), made babies bottles up, ate lots of chocolate. DH put the cardboard in the garage ready to go to the tip to recyycle,and hung a toy hammock in babies room to create more storage space.

    We'll be off till the in-laws tomorrow until new years eve, so we will take stuff to the tip before we go, and will pack tomorrow am, and need to drop the cats off at the cattery before we go. Fly lady will return in earnest in the new year, as i am determined to stay on top of things.

    Enjoy the rest of the hols everyone, and i'll be back soon.
    Michelle, xx

    Happy Birthday Pigpen :beer:

    Merry Christmas to you all :D

    Had a great time, kept up with the dishes (thanks to help from OH ;) ), had a successful if late Christmas Dinner (blooming oven doesn't like cooking more than one thing at once it would seem!) and got some wonderful pressies. Off to the IL's for New Year/Second Christmas ;) So I'm waiting until after then to cash in an Amazon voucher I got so currently sitting in "my basket" are the OS book, the busy girls book to looking great, Happy Housewives, and Anthea Turners book "How to Be the Perfect Housewife: Lessons in the Art of Modern Household Management" :j

    OH got me Trinny & Suzannah The Survival guide... I think he's trying to tell me something about taking time out for me :o:rotfl: So I'm going to be curling up with that one now that I've finished reading Haunted Liverpool Anthology by Tom Slemen. I love that author :D Just wish I had the £150 I needed to buy all his books :rotfl:

    Off to finish catching up on the net and play some games. :wave:

    Maybe some baking - not doing this now . . . taking kitties to the vet for vaccinations instead.

    Also preparing for a BBQ this evening - my niece and her family are off to Australia to live, so we're having a bit of a farewell get-together.

    Forgot to add:

    Happy Birthday, Pigpen :)
