We have exchanged and move next week :j , so tonights task is to draw up a schedule of works for the next week. (How sad does that make me sound? :o )

I need to pack, and then make this place as clean as possible. Would hate someone to inherit our dirt. Then i have to unpack and remove someone else dirt as the new house has been empty for a year......

Moving on Wednesday so we have thursday if things go wrong - ever the optomist. We get the garage keys friday, and it is a tandem so hopefully shifting a lot of things (eg 40 boxes of books) into the new garage. Idea is on moving day that we just shift the beds, the kitchen and the sofa, and clean up whilst we wait for the completion phone call.

Please spare a thought for poor Lynz who is still stuck in limbo - or should that be purgatory? (Wendy - thanks for the explanation of the difference, please can Lynz therefore be in purgatory!)

"Purgatory commonly refers to a doctrine in the Roman Catholic Church, which posits that those who die in a state of grace undergo a purification in order to achieve the holiness necessary to enter heaven."

"In religious terminology, limbo is the temporary status of the souls of good persons who died but did not go to Heaven. In Roman Catholic theology, while awaiting the Resurrection of Jesus they remain in the Limbo of the Fathers."

So that's cleared that up, then!

My thoughts for both of you.

I've finished the exterior paint on the dolls house :j:j My back is thankful :rotfl: Tonight I'll sit down and attack the individual rooms. I've decided not to bother with the stickers around the outside ;) I do need to print off a picture of a garden though  I'll pick up the clear varnish and stickback plastic at the weekend (probably Saturday afternoon) so I can get the majority of stuff finished before DD breaks up.

Nicki, any chance of some pics of the house? It sounds splendid. FIL made a scale model of our house for DD several years ago, and it's a work of art. You'd expect that, though, as FIL has a gold medal from Model Engineers Exhibition for his railway models.

Edit, just realised that my request is not unique!

Well done Hex! Knew you could do it! Have a celebration glass of 8_6_2v.gif on us.

Hi, Carli! Good to see you back!

See you all tomorrow - I have a huuuuuuuuuuuuuge list.

    Morning all :hello:

Quiet day here for me today as I have the electrician coming to fit a new fusebox. He said it can take about 2 hours so thats me with nothing electrical so no computer, no hoover, no cooking things. Plus I won't be able to go in and out the kitchen because of the location of the fusebox  Not even attempting the dolls house as I don't know how much mess this job is going to make. I think it may be time for me to sit down with my book and read for a change...means I have to get the second book out as I've nearly finished "The Philosophers Stone" :D

Anyway, my list looks like this
    • School Run
    • KBBD
    • Electrician at 10.30
    • Hoover/Mop (when electrician has gone)
    • Evening meal ? Maybe Cauliflower cheese or something similar, we've had red meat twice this week already, plus chicken, and pasta...maybe a tuna pasta bake ?
    • Work on SIL's Notebook & recipe collection ;)
    • School Run
    • End of Christmas Cards with DD (She's sending 48 this year, not including grandparents and immediate Aunties/Uncle  )
Anything else is a bonus so we'll have to see.

I'll take some photos of the dolls house when I assemble it on Christmas Eve, it's too big to make up and then take apart again. :rotfl: Besides I still have the inside to do.. hopefully I will get around to that either tomorrow or Monday, or maybe one evening once DD has gone to bed

Best get going..there's a face waiting to be washed
