Evening all
Not much today for me, dragged DP and his brother (both seriously hung over) around the Metro Centre for Christmas shopping. Got another 5 people sorted and bought the rest of my sons MX clothes inc his boots. He's going to look great aswell as being protected.
Sorted address for a present that needs posting tomorrow. Did 3 loads of washing before 8am and hung out so we could go out (DS1 is better but all the washing to catch up on). Cleared the LR floor and swept. Did the food shopping and ordered sons new glasses. Think that is about it apart from the usual make meals etc Mam things. Oh well those things needed doing. One day I might be more organised...........

Oh and I have told the OWNER of the site. She's doing what she can but I still can't access it. I wonder if I can get OH to log me into his server at work so I can access the site that way? (It worked the other night, but it would require OH standing over me while I got the forms I want )
Oh well, I need to get on with the morning routine. Does it ever end?Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -

Well, so far, been awake with baby since 3am, he's now half asleep thanks to his 'calming, vibrating bouncy chair', although i daren't type too loudly at the moment as i need a few cuppas in peace to get going today.
DH had him for about an hour so i could sleep, but fat chance of that. I've already had my obligatory cry this morning so i think it's now time to pull my socks up and get on.
I have got to go to my friends house today as i have planned it. Will try to tackle the kitchen as it is close to baby, and DH promises he will be in early this evening so that might be a good point to do some of the bathroom.
Where does all the time go????
have a productive day everyone.
Michelle, xx
oh-lynz - good idea about the lights, only we wrap them around a monkey puzzle tree in the front garden that is as big as the house, and it is very prickly, that is one job DH is always required to do. Like you, i can't wait for them to go up as they are lovely to look at.0 -
Cha Chelle
Maybe you have to prioritise your flying into quiet and not quiet jobs? When lil one is in land of nod you can do the queit jobs, ( dusting!) then when hes awake the hoovering and what not.
Strangely when i was typing the above I did it really quietly!!!!

This flying lark is a wonderful thing.
After two bouts of sickness where I've been unable (or just unwilling) to move I've managed to recover my house (except for the hoovering which I'll do after my hot chocolate) in 1 day  I even got down on my hands and knees lastnight and swept the livingroom rugs with a stiff handbrush ... OH thought I'd lost it as it was 9pm and I was supposed to be relaxing while watching Num3ers, instead I fixed the tree and swept the livingroom and kitchen, re-arranged the kitchen after moving OH's now sold bike
Plus I had a flash of inspiration, we got my grandad's dining table about two weeks ago and since it's a dropleaf one I've managed to put it in the kitchen where it can be used as some extra workspace which I sometimes desperately need. I won't be doing anything in particular on it, but it will give me somewhere to put the cooling racks when I'm baking, instead of on the diningtable :rotfl: Between all that and sorting out the ebay items into 1 box and the charity donations into a better box my livingroom is looking GREAT
I also managed, and this is a miracle in my book, to have a bath last night (okay so it was 11.20 when I got in it, BUT I TOOK A BATH WHEN I SAID I WOULD and even relaxed in it while reading a book) and meanwhile DD's PE kit and some odds and sods were being washed. They finished just as OH was about to go to bed so he brought them up. This morning they were dry AND as they'd been hung on hangers they were crease-free enough to go back in the PE bag without ironing :j
I was thinking of putting up a really comprehensive list of everything that I need to do before Christmas like a couple of you have...but then I get scared :rotfl: You know what...I've actually got time to reply/comment on other peoples post I'm feeling so relaxed and not "up against it":rotfl:
Michelle - good luck with that list. Can I use it as mine as it's more or less what I need to get done as well? _pale_
Hex - sorry to hear about the exchange not happening yesterday, I've still got all this to come at some point. We've just moved from parents, to rented to rented. Just trying to find a place within our budget is proving difficult enough as it is unless we want something that should be on Grand Designs needing a complete overhaul
TNG - You're looking for a goose? Lucky you, I've never had goose...or at least I don't think I have. I've had venison though in Switzerland that was to die for  Our hosts didn't tell us it was vension until DD had finished hers (note here : she was 3 at the time), and when he asked if we had enjoyed the venison DD piped up "yes, but whats venison?" I told her it was deer meat, at which point she started crying and saying "Have we just eaten Bambi?":oThank goodness for the Lion Kings "circle of life" it's saved the day sooo often :rotfl:
Lynz - good luck with your list.
What is it with ironing? Why do we all delay doing it? Why do we leave it until there is soooo much it's a nightmare to do? OKay decision made...tonight I will do all the ironing while there is only a crate full (I love collapsible crates)
Right, I guess it's time I shifted myself. Now do I do the hoovering or do the dishes...decisions decisions... Xmas pressies from here I think wins. :rotfl:
