I went and did the vast majority of the Christmas shopping this morning - we could now do a bare bones Christmas at a pinch, whether we move or not so a little happier.
I have abandoned the house and the packing for the last few days, so this afternoon and this evening I need to be on one woman, two toddler mission. OH is away for the night and the boys go to bed at seven. My aim is to get the ground floor back to show room condition ready for when it goes back on the market tomorrow [STRIKE]if [/STRIKE] when we dont exchange today. I will then need to unpack some of the boxes so that the boys have some toys to play with over the next few weeks.
First of all I need to see if the hoover works on the glitter explosion that used to be our living room carpet, festive but inappropriate for viewings.'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0 -

What is it with ironing? Why do we all delay doing it? Why do we leave it until there is soooo much it's a nightmare to do? OKay decision made...tonight I will do all the ironing while there is only a crate full (I love collapsible crates)
That is actually a VERY rude word in my house.
We don't leave it until it is an unimaginable mountain (that would take about 2 hours in here) it just doesn't happen. that is one thing you will NEVER see on my list.. not ever!!!
Well done Hex.. having the shopping almost done is a relief in itself. re the move.. I swear I never want to do it again it is horrible. I'm sure you'll get there in the end it is just THE most stressful thing ever and I don't envy you one bit. sending hugs, because I know I couldn't get enough of them when we were moving!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
I've finished the exterior paint on the dolls house :j:j My back is thankful :rotfl: Tonight I'll sit down and attack the individual rooms. I've decided not to bother with the stickers around the outside
I do need to print off a picture of a garden though  I'll pick up the clear varnish and stickback plastic at the weekend (probably Saturday afternoon) so I can get the majority of stuff finished before DD breaks up. 4.5 days to go (excluding the weekend) and I have the electrician here tomorrow which means I need to juggle the livingroom tonight to relocate the tree so he can get to where he needs to
Washing up is nearly doneJust 2 pans into soak (OH didn't soak them overnight  ) and the ceramic breadbin to wash, oh and our George Foreman (had a bacon & cheese toastie for lunch to use up some bacon  ) then even the housework will be caught up on... well once I've done the rest of the jobs on todays list
Should really get on and put this dolls house away so I at least have the chance to get the hoover up the stairs...think DD can earn some pocketmoney tonight and help me for half an hour
:rotfl:
