I was feeling overwhelmed today before I even got out of bed!! lol

It is too much like winter out there to do anything other than snuggle up on the sofa with a hot mug of hot chocolate and a packet of chocolate digestives!!

Morning FLYbabes! Night night Denise! We miss you FLYboy!

My head and my home are in a right old mess. What is it about having any kind of building work / decorating that totally demoralises you so you're not motivated to doing ANY housework?  Plasterer finished on Saturday, plumber in to do radiators this morning, and apparently someone is coming in to do the floor this afternoon!

I'm hoping you guys have productive days as it motivates me to get of my bottom! Great lists - Denise remembering to argue with kids :rotfl: and someone else putting keep up with this thread on their list  !

Lynz & Hex - you've got it more stressful than me, I'd take builders over moving house so thinking of you.

Seems everyone's got a huge ironing pile. I'm trying to get mine done to just the one load a day but no joy - maybe we need an ironing challenge :D

    Daily:
    Make beds
    Swish & Swipe ensuite
    WM
    DW
    Calendar check
    What's for dinner?
    Post
    15 mins paper control

    Monday:
Penelope Penguin boogie (15 mins each room) as I don't know where to start!
    Dry cleaning
Cancel window cleaner / Set up cheaper window cleaner!
    Order Christmas cards from friend

    Must get going... Punky x

First hour done, if anything the place looks worse, ho hum. Please no one else knock on the front door today - I couldnt actually get to the door for the post lady due to the toys someone had helpfully banked up while I was upstairs :o

Mummys little helpers are [STRIKE]generating mess[/STRIKE] playing with the rarely accessed second toybox so that I can have a good upstairs clean.

Living room clean - only have one and it doesn't take long as it is tiny. Did it last night so just a bit of tidy up after the toddlers to do.

Punky - my FIL used to run his own building firm, my OH did his student summers with them and can plaster etc, which is great. My job is to provide food, drinks and clean up afterwards. At least with external builders you can insist they tidy afterwards! Just think of the extra space when they have finished.

Denise - I too :rotfl: at argue with kids - done.

pigpen - I just want to sleep too, I have the worst black bags ever after no sleep with DS1 being ill. House is a tip and I just cant stand it like that anymore, got used to having it fairly clean.

Ironing - some swear by a little each day. I hate it, and save it in a big batch and have one horrible evening once a fortnight with my lovely steam press till it is all done. Folding things whilst they are hot out of the tumble dryer cuts down on a lot of effort as well. Paying the woman down the road £10 to do a black bags worth often looks attractive!

Part of the Furniture 1,000 Posts Photogenic I've been Money Tipped!
    Morning. :hello:

Well it's Monday morning and I overslept again :o I think it might have something to do with being up until 1am for 3 nights in a row :rotfl: Anyways I'm planning on putting up our Christmas decorations on Thursday/Friday (need OH's help with some of them ;) ) so I need to get a wriggle on (as my DD says :D ) and get some jobs done in the livingroom.

    Plans for today :
    • [STRIKE]Ring Orange re: downtime on Broadband[/STRIKE] Done - refund for 4 days will be credited to the next bill :D
    • [STRIKE]Put Coat into wash[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]Update Xmas budget [/STRIKE] Done - best of all, I'm nearly finished :j
    • Place Amazon order through pigsback for points - trying but Amazon checkout bit keeps taking too long to respond and times out.
    • Paint DD's doll's house - Stage 1 of about 4099 billion done, waiting on paint to dry then I'll finish this colour off :D It's one of those jobs you think "why did I decide to do this?"
    • Laundry
      • Towels
      • Lights
      • Dark
      • Master bedding? only if I get around to stripping it.
    • Wash dishes
    • [STRIKE]Swish & swipe bathroom[/STRIKE]
    • Evening meal
    • Look for images to stick onto dolls house (flowers, birds etc)
    • Reconcil bank statements
    • [STRIKE]Update Money after Xmas shopping at the weekend[/STRIKE]
    • Clear paperwork piles
    • Pick DD up from school
    • Update Christmas Card list and start writing them!
    • STAY IN - parcel delivery for OH.
    • Wake brain up :rotfl:
Can't think of anything else to add at the minute. The priority today is getting the Amazon order through and DD's dolls house painted. So I will have to see. ;)

Good luck all with your lists. Off to try Amazon again

I've got 5 of the children ill with colds.. and DH.. with 'man flu'.. he is worse than all the children rolled into one!! Is it REALLY necessary to shout when you cough? I think I am coming down with it too plus that 'female thing' is due to arrive tomorrow so things are not good.

My house is always a tip I am totally unable to get it 'tidy' I NEED a cleaner.. but I need to tidy before I get one!! lol

As for i*r*o*n*i*n*g it is a rude word and not to be used on public forums!!! I press the seams on garmetns I am making but other than that the actual device grows furry layers in the corner!
