As well as out of date SEL there is also a photo of the items with no price or expiry date in the mp3 section of 2 stores near me.

I wasn't sure that it would work but now I am so will try 4 it 2moz

Well, a poo visit for me:

Champers was SEL'd correctly
Simpsons s6 stickered at 19.84, sel more than this, scanned at £19.84
Pro Evolution Soccer 6 scanned at the right price (£29.77)

HOWEVER - I managed to spot a Technika MC107NXT CD Hifi Micro system.

SEL £59.97, scans £69.97 (expired, can't remember date).

Went to CS, CS kid phoned manager, manager came, thought he'd got out of it by bringing a different SEL with him, but then I pointed out that HIS SEL was for a different model! He authorised refund, and went. CS kid proceeded to begin a refund for the £10.00 difference, when I asked him why he was only refunding difference. He said it was because that's what he'd been told to do (fair enough), so I made him call said manager back to the cs desk.

Manager came back, I asked him what the policy is, then told him that it is to refund in full and to allow customer to keep the product. Manager point blank refused to invoke this policy, as it is at his discretion. I corrected him, and told him that as he is only a departmental manager (it is worth noting that he was the duty manager on at that time, so noone higher to talk to) he cannot override company policy. He insisted that he can, and that he was not refunding in full, when askd why, his answer was "because I can, and because it is 70 quid".

Offered difference of £10.00 (refused), complaint logged with h/o.

How annoying, to argue over £70 when people have had £100's in x-boxes, champers, sony bravia tv (cough, lol)! Bloody jobsworth!

ARGH!

Have to wait an see what h/o say about this, but I really can't see how they can refuse!

All 3 dvd case boxes listed the contents of the package and they were all the version with the 20Gb hard drive and all the bits, not the core version.

Anyone care to advise ?
i would have gone for it, but the lady on CS at the time was someone i had an argument with only 2 weeks ago.

Option 3 scans at the same price as option 1

Yes.

The prices that have been quoted on here are correct and they all kick in the £20 off when purchased with an other game.

Why do mangers say this. It's not at their discretion, It's company policy.

Part of the reason Tesco has this policy is to get people into their stores (it worked on me, Sainsbury's & Morrisons are nearer and cheaper)


They might as well have a sign saying

FREE 15" TV FOR EVERY CUSTOMER WITH PURCHASES OF £100 OR MORE

Customers turn up in their thousands to be told sorry mate free Tv's are only given on my discretion

It is illegal to advertise a policy & refuse to abide by it. If this manager wasn't such a jobsworth badly trained moron he would know it.
