Thought I had covered all Tescos in a 30 mile radius- but then discovered an 'untapped resource' or so I thought. Got very excited as we pulled up. My 8 year old told me I was "weird today , Mum, its only Tescos". I cant let him in on it all- he is not at all discreet!!

Checked the Moet- SEL correct. No triples to be had and thought the PS2 smackdown game was an r&r but it scanned at £24.94. All a bit of an anticlimax- but on the up side, at least theres another store to add to the rounds!

Can't believe how quickly this thread progresses. I went out this afternoon and its taken me ages just now to catch up!

Does the SEL not have a barcode ?

Are they they the same ?

Correct item for label then !

Doesn't seem to work like that - the barcodes were not the same on mine and the CS woman did notice that although she didn't try to use that as a get out on the RnR. In my book, if the label on the bottle does not say VINTAGE then the wine is NV. The more expensive bottles of Moet are labelled Vintage quite clearly.

  • Could not believe today......

Got Dr who Series 1 and series 2 r&r :rotfl:

Bought mis priced series 1 in one store and was handed over the series 2 discs in series 1 box! r&r
went to another store and got series 1 again but received correct dvds r&r
    so excellant day !

Also got a few triple packs too! There is still a lot of DVDs out there.

However I have seen a growing number of stores removing the till pos stating r&r policy AND covering up the blue board behind CS desk..... its hilarious when you ask them to remove the item to show policy :D

Tesco obviuosly don't feel comfortable about anything connected with consoles, they have resorted to not putting up any prices in half of their stores and as for the "save £20 when you buy any game with the x-box 360" well 9 out of 10 stores are not displaying any posters on this promo.
I've only seen the offer displayed in one store. The others all have the yellow SELs on but no sign of what the offer is!

When you think of the trouble they went to putting the consoles up by £20 at the beginning of the week just so that they could,a few days later, say buy a console + game and get £20 off. ( It seems to me you're paying the same this week for a console + game as you did a week ago when there was no £20 off offer!)
Of course they gave away a shed load of consoles in the process ! :T

Having done all that they now seem to want keep the offer as quiet as possible.
Most of the staff don't have a clue what offer the yellow SELs refer to.

Strange way to run a promotion.

I can only guess that having the consoles still in stock at the end of the week is one step up from having given them away! ;)

not posted on here before, just wondered if r&r works if things are charged lower than the tag? I am not brave enough to try it generally, but thought I would mention the jacket we bought today, f&f fred cotton rich jacket in chocolate brown with fine stripes, tagged at £40, went through at £26.

:confused: eh no is the simplest answer here i guess, the tag said £40 it went through the till at £26 so it was cheaper than the tag price. If it had gone through the till at £40.50 then you would have been able to do an R&R.
