  • Does anyone know what the law is regarding the out of date offers? I know it depends on the mood the CS assistant is in or who you get if you have to resort to a call to Dundee but who is legally right ?

Differing views on this one, in my conversations with TS they always say that you don't have a leg to stand on if there is an expiry date on the SEL. others on here strongly disagree.
  • I have two Tescos fairly local to me but they are usually pretty good with their pricing and have had only a few r and r's at these stores - annuals, fan heater, steak, xmas decorations and a dvd. However, today I decided to go a little further afield and try a different one (only opened recently). I put the bits and pieces that I needed into my basket and whilst looking down the meat aisle I came across some Free Range Turkey Stir Fry Strips. The out of date SEL (ended 25/11/06) stated pack price of £2.59, the pack price was £3.39. I put three into my basket and paid for them. I took them to CS whereby the CSA suggested that I had picked them up from the wrong section! I took her to the shelf I had got them from and showed her the ood SEL. She tried telling me that this was the price per KG! I pointed out this was the pack price. She then tutted and went back to CS desk and proceeded to give me a full refund on 3 packs.

Going back tomorrow to see about the DVDs, DS games, PS2 games and anything else that is mispriced. :rotfl:
  • R&R'red the triple DVD pack, goonies, police academy and gremlins. This was the only triple pack wrongly priced.
Not really my cup of tea, anyone want to swap for one of the other R&R'red triple packs? PM me if interested.

Thanks to everyone for the great tips.

Just like the policy they seem to please themselves and make it up as they go along and its the usual story of you win some you lose some.

Constantine where are you?, I bet you've gone to checkout the X-Boxes again?, mind you, Tesco obviuosly don't feel comfortable about anything connected with consoles, they have resorted to not putting up any prices in half of their stores and as for the "save £20 when you buy any game with the x-box 360" well 9 out of 10 stores are not displaying any posters on this promo.

Well they have taken a hell of a beating over the last 3 months !

well, have just caught up with the last 5 pages of posts that i have missed while being out. so, i hit 6 stores today & ALL of them had the right sel for the champagne-gutted!! & EVERY single triple dvd pack didn't have stickers on-grr....

So, after a fruitless day only got a pack of washing tablest (2in1 summer- sel £2.97, scan @ £3.50) and Michael Palin diaries (sticker £8.96, scanned @ £9.96)

    feeling pretty disappointed now!

3 out of the 4 stores I visited today did not have any Xbox prices displayed & only 1 had any information regarding the £20 off offer & this was in small type on an A5 sheet of paper hanging off the bottom shelf !
