What i would like to know being new to this and gob smacked:

Do you self scan or go to a till? Then when you go to customer services what do you say?

I cant see how you can say the price should be X according to the shelf but it has come up as Y. Who looks to see that its 1p a kilo different on meat or that a game is £1 different. Do you write down a shoping list and the prices next to the items or what?

I understand know what the idea is but not what you say to customer services?

Please explain as i want to have a go!!!

Just say you noticed it as you were packing and were sure the SEL said it was £** cheaper, they probably wont ask how/why you noticed, if they do just make something up like you are a chef and work out portions and prices according to weight. Or you can say that you thought the til would adjust the price when you paid.

In other words, just act a bit dumb, it always works! (well unless you shop in the Copdock store at Ipswich)

i do feel you should calm down on your comments. theres a difference between the swastika and some religous symbol you showed the swastika. this is no place to abuse people here. he doesn't run this place it is mainly a free discussion where we can discuss things in a sensible manner. if you read the top we should report abuse and offensive material. yours was both

    Completely agree!

Also, postman, why do insist on posting pointless images?

I'm sure the people that are still on dial up dont appreciate it!

I have a tesco express in my village, do you think you get much there, or do i need to go to town really?
I dont think the local express would know about R & R do i just tell them i want a refund and the item for free?
If in town would you scan or till?

    Many thanks.

The Express should know about it, if they dont, remind them! ;)

Personally I always find it a bit more hassle in an Express store as they dont have a CS desk, not that it matters, you should still get your R&R! Look for the smaller white signs around the tils somewhere, they are the ones that have the credit card logos on them, they have the "our promise" bit on them.

Everyone has their own opinion on wether to use self scan or til, personally I always use a til anyway as I find the self scan things more bother than they're worth unles you are only buying a couple of items. Also it has been know for CS staff to ask why you didnt notice the overcharge when you scanned it.

Self scan tills are a pain in the @rse. However, if questioned about why you didn't realise the overcharge at the time just explain you had enough problems making the damn thing work without checking all the prices as they went through.
  • Has anyone heard of a secret forum of ex MSE users who call Tesco Bananas.

Someone told me about it but I can't find anything on google.

Would be interesting to find out if it really does exist.

Look, if you could find it on Google, it wouldn't be secret. Sadly membership is strictly by invitation.
    Can I help?
