Tesco misprice discussion area part 14

A couple of things that you might be interested in, you guys may have already mentioned these earlier so my apologies if repeating old stuff. When I worked for Tesco there was a new policy that came in of only offering r&r on a maximum of 5 of the same item (you could buy several different items but this was intended to stop people taking the mick and clearing the shelves). The signs have never been changed tho so I can't see that they could enforce this and people here have managed to get more so I assume it's not much of an issue.

Also people mention that the CS assistant just removes the SEL to stop anyone else doing this afterwards, what's to stop you from asking a shop floor worker what the price of something was (tell them there isn't a label there). I always used to go and get a label as that tends to be the quickest way to check a price and it fixes the problem of the there being no label too (2 birds, 1 stone!) Then so long as head office haven't fixed the label or reduced the price of the item then you're away!

One more thing, remember seeing earlier about why can't Tesco just reduce the price in every store once one is noticed. There used to be price updates come down on the host (email) system saying to lower the price as it couldn't be done centerally until overnight. These used to be missed all the time! I'm sure Tesco could make a system that updates prices straight away, but maybe they don't have enough cash to do so???

Can somene pls confirm the prices on the champers? As I understand it, the SEL states 19.XX and it scans at 21.XX.

What are the exact prices please?

no blade was scanning at this over 6 weeks ago

so there were 2 diferent prices on display, the SEL and the leaflet and they scanned at the correct price? which was the correct price?

Did they scan at the lower price or the higher price?
