But all the people can't be all right all the time. .........I think Abraham Lincoln said that.

I'm not trying to frighten anyone out of anything. But it would be nieve to think that something like that never happens across every Tesco store given the potential gain involved.
A diocumented case of someone being convicted of fraud for doing this?
Wow.
For anyone thinking of doing it, don't. It is a *very* foolish thing to do. You will be filmed committing fraud.
TBH I must admit to believing that anyone stupid enough to do that would be more likely to simply shoplift. To commit a fraud and then go to the CS staff and basically ask them to view the footage of you doing it? You'd be a fool.
Still, they do say there's one born every minute.
To be clear though, anyone here should be r&r'ing only when Tesco use misleading pricing. Don't get carried away and end up stealing.0 -

If you want an Urban Myth, the one where cctv can pick up that sort of detail on pure chance is the one I would go for.Who or what was I before you came in to my life

Before I give up for the night I'd like to say one more thing.
It probably seems that I'm quite new to this discussion but actually I took quite an active part in it way back when it first started. I wasn't r&r'ing then but I did have strong opinions on Tesco's mispricing.
My experience over the previous 7 years was that around 50% of the times I shopped in Tesco's I would be overcharged.
It's why I stopped shopping there - you get sick of spending all that time at the CS desk.
My recent trips to Tesco though have shown a massive improvement in the last few months.
So an honest congratulations to Tesco. Well done.
It's just a shame that for 7 years they did nothing. Then along comes this thread and things improve dramatically in a few months.
I wonder what would happen if we stopped now? Would Tesco's continue the good work or would things go back to the way they were?0 -
