Guys - have a dilemma here
Was lucky enough to get full R&R with a smile on Simpsons series 3 (stickered £19.84 charged £22.** and a lexmark printer (OOD sel £69.** charged £99.**) tonight. However I left a shelf full of all the other 5 series of Simpsons all stickered at lower price. I would love whole collection - do I go back in and buy them hoping different manager/cs staff are on or am I pushing my luck??
I bought a futurama today but didn't get my r&r as i only did one last night and it was ame woman on CS. going to try again tomorrow and hope they don't recognise me! let me know how u get on if you do go back
has anyone got a whole series of simpsons/futurarama in 1 go? or do you go to different tescos. we have a limited choice where i live0 -

People who wouldn't normally say boo to a goose will fight tooth and nail for something they don't really want - because it's 75% off.
Same here, we all get caught up in getting ourselves a freebie. And that's OK. Sadly though some think in terms of money and that's where it goes wrong. For example, some people will desperately want to get the current Xbox360 game for their console. They would be happy with one. Others though, will get themselves multiple copies - and every store they r&r the game in will change their SEL and someone else on this board will be disappointed.
I must admit I have no problem with people saying they've got £xxxx from Tesco today. But it does sadden me just a little when they list multiples of items they simply won't use (just sell on at a reduced price):
6 x Cars DVD: £75
5 x Tony Hawks: £200
etc.
Don't get me wrong, I kinda wish them good luck, but I also think about all those who post "Went to 4 stores today, no Cars DVD or Tony Hawks"...is that because the store is on the ball or because of the multiple r&r's some people do?
Some will be doing it to pass on to faily/friends, and good luck to them. Some will do it to pay for a Christmas they couldn't afford otherwise. But there will always be some who do it because they can? And who can blame them for enjoying the thrill of the hunt?
Maybe, instead of talking about a restricted board for the misprices, we should be talking about a "swap shop" board where people can swap r&r's they don't want for something they do want. And there may even be some who are happy to give unwanted r&r's away.
Heck, we could even get the best r&r'ers together and do an Orphans Christmas Collection - suitable unwanted multiple r&r's donated to the local orphanage/children's charity.
As for me, I have had 3 r&r's altogether and the last one will make it a great Christmas. So a BIG THANKS to all those serial r&r's who do so much of the legwork for this thread and benefit us all - even those who take, ahem, full advantage of the misprices...(with just a little nudge to share anything unwanted with a child in need this Christmas).Long Live Rock And Roll0 -
Just a quick update on my events..
I know i was gutless but I got someone else to take the dvds back for me and get a refund today as i was too scared to try to go back in the store which i was thrown out of..
After the saga the other night I just wanted my money back - I know I was entitled to more but as i wasnt even allowed back in the store it peed me off even having to drive back there and stay in the car.
I have a friend compiling a letter to head office for me as I am scared to phone them in case they side with that manager or if he just lies and says he didnt shove me?
another thing what I was wondering is if Im banned did he the muppet who threw me out mean from all tescos or just that one?0 -

Hi all
Been lurking sometime, finally decided to bounce around the thread.
One question about books:
if SEL is say £8.99 and there is a sticker on the book saying £10.99 and I am charged the £10.99 price, is this a rnr?
Just that my local store had about 8 different titles like this..............3 bounce offs v Tesco's, 3 wins = £190+0 -
Grrr.. just got in from work awhile ago and stopped at four Extras on the way.
All DVD's had the stickers removed
All meats that were originally priced above SEL were restickered with new pricing...
Grrrr West/North London on the ball... guess will have to drive home tomorrow via the southern route. A bit longer but more stores to check!!!0 -

Yes,,,,,,the same applies on any article........the lowest price visible is the most they can charge you
