Or you could do that. Think my version is a bit less boringWho or what was I before you came in to my life
I am not sure0 -
I went to the Sandhurst store today and there was a guy in a wheelchair in the queue in front of me, and he was buying a surge protector extension lead. When the assistant rang it up, he complained that it was the wrong price, and so they sent another assistant to check the SEL. While she was gone I pointed out to him the sign on the checkout concerning R&R, he didn't know about it and neither did the checkout assistant, despite the fact that it's right next to her. When the other assistant came back with the correct price we pointed out the notice but she refused the R&R on the grounds that the transaction was not complete. We had to wait a long time while the price was checked, but it would have been worth it if he had got it free. Well, at least he'll know next time, as will all the other people in the queue.
I was hoping he'd get the R&R as I was feeling a bit bolshy today, as I'd gone there hoping to get the whiskey that they've been advertising in the paper half price. No such luck. There was only room for about half a dozen bottles on the shelf, they can hardly have any, what a con. Also, the store has been a mess lately, they've been rebuilding it yet again, must be the 3rd time in about 5 years. That's probably why it took so long to check the price, you can't find anything in amongst the building work!
Sorry about the long rant, I feel better now. Anyway, I didn't buy it so I don't know all the details, but it was square rather than the usual long extension shape and it was in a red and white box. It was supposed to be £16.99 but he was charged £19.99. You may be able to find it from this either there or at another store. I've never managed to get an R&R myself as they are really sneaky at this store, they don't have any scanners so you can't check the prices. I guess I could have gone back and got one myself, but the queues were really long and I didn't have the time. If anybody manages to get one of these please let me know, I'd love to see a result.0 -

Incidentally, the Asda books with the vouchers in have suddenly become very scarce in my area. Wonder if that means there's a new edition due out soon or whether a lot of Mr T customers are collecting them.
Regards
Keep looking for them. My local asda ran out last week but i've been in today and they've got a new stock of them - picked up another six.:D0 -

Is the holsten r&r not working anymore?
I went into a store today, out of date SEL with 2 for £16, gr8 I thought started loading my trolley then noticed another yellow SEL detailing beer deals and at the bottom of the list was the Holsten at 2 for £16 and this offer ran till the end of Nov.
Have they extended it then?0 -

When I was at cs today I saw a man getting r&r on Holsten Pils it looks like the point of sale material still has Holsten on the list but the discount is not coming off. so if you see a stack of holsten without the 2 for £16 sign just look for the other stack of lager and it should be included on the list on them. But I would say be quick because they will probably put the offer back on.0 -
Can confirm Holsten Pils is still around. I spotted it on Thursday but decided to leave it as I didn't want to raise my profile. POS material still up today so got 4 boxes. CS offered difference first but when I pointed out the bottom paragraph on the blue sign I got the full refund. :beer:Divorce all finished- now to start saving for a better future!0
