So if they are changing the offer from 2 for £16 to 3 for £22 them I guarantee you, you will find a store with the old sign up and the discount wont come off so you will still get free beer.

Changing offers are sometimes better than new ones as they are easily missed.

Personally I am happy with my haul over the last few months, so if Tesco said "thats your lot" then so be it.

Basically I see it as an admission that they aren't capable of getting their house in order, most store managers are not worthy of their salaries and company car in my opinion, I am sure there are many who use this forum who could do a far far better job than 75% of store managers to sort out the problems of mispricing in their stores.

Perhaps Tesco should be approaching some of the posters on this forum to work on a consultancy basis to reduce loss/wastage in their stores?.

I agree but don't you have to be carefull about how many packs you get ? For instance if you got 6 packs of the Holsten the offer will go through as 3 for £22 X 2 which is £44. But if you had found a sign with the old offer and thought it should go through as 2 for £16 X 3 this would total £48. As the new offer is cheaper by £4 you haven't been overcharged . Or is that wrong ??

If the offer is currently 2 for £16 and you say the new offer is 3 for £22 if you only buy 2 (as per the advert) then it will just scan at 2 x the normal price so no discount will kick in.

This is good as when the price controllers go around tomorrow they will see the offer and just think it has already been put on but in reality it is an update rather than a new offer. Trust me they will have so many offers to check tomorrow morning they will not get everything correct and this could easily be one they miss.
