The higher prices on the sels are the same as the tesco direct prices but the lower sel was on the end of the shelf but says it is for the described product with the correct make etc0

Just got a mate to get me the Doctor Who box set.
The CS know me & with a stickered product collected from CS they would know what I'm up to.
Thanks to OP.
While he was getting our R&R the CS lady told him that the policy was coming to an end in January & we will just get the difference.
I asked him 3 times if he was winding me up & he promised he wasn't.
Anyone else heard anything like this?0 -

Its theft by deception, you are deliberatly entering Tesco with the intention of defrauding them, you have the necessary mind set to perform this task and you carry it out.
In fact Mr T could if he wanted to take legal action against you, particularly persistant offenders.
If you can get away with it then fair play but just remember just because Mr T didn't recognise the mistake you do not have an inherent right to the money again.
This is a company policy and thay have no obligation to honour it if they chose not to, yes you may have a point to write a letter to trading standards but IMHO TS have far bigger fish to fry and are unlikely to side with somebody who has dishonest intentions.
PLease be careful MSE'rs, fraud is not cool nor clever and carries very heavy consequences
What loss has Tesco suffered? Obtaining pecuniary advantage by deception - what advantage has been gained? Where's the deception? You bought an item from Tesco, which you paid for in full. You then choose to take the item back under Tesco's 28 day refund policy. The price promise does not affect this, by the way, as it is not really a refund - it's a gesture of goodwill backed up by Tesco's company policy. So, when people talk about being refunded, in reality, they aren't getting a refund. This is also why the price promise does not affect a customer's statutory rights.
Theft - the dishonest appropriation of goods with the intention to permanently deprive. Where's the dishonesty?
Fact of the matter - it's a simple trade between Tesco and the customer. Tesco does not suffer a loss, as the store has the item and will sell it on to another customer. There is no deception, as Tesco has a 28 day refund policy. The money given back as a result of an overcharge is not really a refund. So, when you take the item back for a refund because you don't want it, that, in reality, is your first and only refund. In a rut? Can't get out? Don't know why?
It's time to make that change.

I exchanged something yesterday without a reciept and she didnt give me another receipt..so I asked as this is an xmas present whould it be ok to exchange again and she said "yes tesco will accept it if it is still in the wrapping up until 6th Jan!"
They must have loads of xmas with people buying gifts for kids and then kiddies wanting a different and better game.
As long as it hasnt been opened and take it back in a tesco carrier bag then my tescos have all been fine..last week i even swapped 3 Xbox 360 games, which i had free, without a reciept for a PSP console..added £30 to it and they were fine. She then gave me another reciept which showed the games exchanged and cash added. Went to another tescos then an got a full refund of £149.97...so in a way got 3 golden r&r's without receipt.. how clever was that!!0 -
Yes 74.97 and 129.970

If the two prices on the digilogic were £67.xx and £74.xx i'd get back there sharpish! Scans at £74.xx and currently sitting under the portable in the bedroom
Currently 2 cheap dvd recorders at Mr. T , the goodun is in a white box
Tony Hawkes still in one store this morning
Edit ... Check the two prices on the phillips one
The code on the sel for the digilogic ends in 4 for the £67 and 5 for the £74 price, thus you know that the £74 will be charged - the higher the last digit, that is the current scanning price.0 -
my 2 tescos are really on the ball, tesco by merry hill and tesco telford.
Is there anyone who does these ones and wants to msg me in private to buddy up?:xmastree:Self Certified Christmas Addict:xmastree:0 -
