then why mention a date? well if i dont they will call the store and they will say there is a date on there.
really unsure about what to do... plz help!!
MUNT posted this last night in relation to your problem:
Expiry dates on SELs are irrelevant, as it is the store's responsibility to remove any POS or SELs that are misleading (including having two different prices up for the same product). It is not the customer's responsibility to read the tiny print on the bottom of the SEL. The dates are there for staff information, not customers. Many Tesco promotional SELs (yellow ones) have dates that have already passed, but the offer is then extended (mostly on alcohol), therefore the expiry date (if you can read it) cannot be relied upon. If you have any trouble with HO and the store in question, contact TS. It is an offence to give misleading price indications, including leaving up out of date POS and SELs.
and he posted this in relation offers which have been extended past the expiry date on the SEL:
The above proves my point about the dates on SELs - Tesco is not consistent. They often extend offers without changing the SELs, so the old date is left showing. How is a customer meant to know if an offer has really ended or if it has been extended? I would use this as a back-up argument should HO pull the "our legal dept. has said we can leave up incorrect price labels if there is an offer ends date on them and that date has passed" crap.

It reads that dues to a glitch, Multi savings aren't going through and they will not honour them...

In my store all the POS's were turned around. I did notice the beer offer 2 for £16 was still there. I might try this later & report back0 -
Looks like Tony Hawks is fixed today. 3 out of 3 stores tried today all with correct price. Yesterday another 3 stores and all had them mis priced. Although I only got one as the first store I didn't like the CS, the second was out of stock , but the third was a Golden R&R!0

ok i've had a think of this the only offer that i saw was the 360 + game saving 19-xx
i can surely see this is an offer
because you make a saving
on the other two there were no indications of an offer because it is a set price
moving on the offer still stands on the xbox and game so its not consistent with offers is it?????0 -

Am I missing this ???? Had a look at the attached link and it says (in second to last paragraph)...."If a product is price marked and a different price is shown on the shelf then the lower price is taken".
Am I misreading that as I would hate to lose out as an R&R virgin who is still to score (my local store are too accurate  ). Have they changed the policy ????0 -
"And if things don't add up ~ In the unlikely event you are charged a higher price than on the shelf or the product we will refund your money and you can keep the product"
No mention of dates, if they meant the expiry dates to be for customers then they should put them in the same sized font as the price itself, or even just marginally smaller, not tucked away in a tiny font.TESCO EVERY LITTLE change to the t&cs HELPS0 -
