Evening all,

Well hasn't today been exciting!!

Only got myself the core pack this morning, and since I really wanted the capability to actually play a game straight out of the box, I went to another store after work and managed to get a Premium pack. Price on the octagonal display still showing, and after a little gentle discussion the store honoured their policy.

Congrats to all who got their hands on them.

If you would be so kind - if you did get one (or more) can you PM me, I would love to know how many Mr-T lost today!

seen a odd thing in a tesco today, tony hawks for 360 for 27.97 thought wow well getting a R&R but no it went through the till at 27.97. Took it back to another tesco and got the 27.97 refunded. was totally confused over it

visited another 3 stores tonight since 6pm

Picked up 3 copies of tony hawks game

sadly no xboxes mind!

Right, took a trip to local tesco,just inside entrance was a stand with x-boxs cores for £185.99,prem £159.99 and prem with PES for £279.99.Walked round to main area and they were priced correctly:eek: Straight to elec desk to see if they had any in.Core version and prem with PES (which was scanning at right price, same price as prem edition without the game )So had to go for core version.Charged £195.99:eek: the !!!!!!s had over charged me.Went to CS desk,got sent back to Elec desk,girl then walked down to front of store with me to look at what i had claimed.Took the SEL off the display tower but it was also printed on the cardboard tower LOL so she couldn't take it off that.Went to CS with her,she was told she had to sort it so followed her back to Elec desk.DM came and refused point blank to issue R&R stating they don't have that policy anymore.:eek: .What that policy thats right behind you on the board Yes she said.Right can you write that down and i'll phone HO.She wouldn't,suprise suprise.So went home and explained to CS.You should of had a full refund and got the item back,i was told.I told her what the DM said and she double checked with her manager and told me that YES i should of had an R&R.I was told to go back to the shop with the xbox and the reciept.She would phone the store and tell them i should of had a full R&R.Got back to the store:eek: the little gistarpo biatch was now working (The one who tries to belittle everyone she talks too as CS as if the money was coming out of her own pocket.)She scanned the xbox etc and said it was scanning at £195.99.I KNOW i said,but there was a display there (now gone as 2 or 3 staff members were dismantling it when i first left the store)Where she said:eek: AHHHHHHHH here we go i thought.She went and got a mangler and it was only the same one who had refused me point blank,asking me who i spoke too at HO.After explaining she said she was off to double check. 20 or 30 minutes later,FINALLY another mangler came and told the little gistarpo B to refund my money etc.I left the store with a little and a .So leaving in quite a peed off mood,i thought WTH. I'm off out of town to have a look for another now.
After a good 30 minute drive i arrived,walked in and no cardboard display.A short walk up the games isle and :eek: xbox premium on the shelf £159.99.(bet they are sold out )Took cd case to counter.Off he went.5 minutes gone and no sign of the assistant:( then :drool: as they walked towards me with a prem edition in their hand (:drool: was for the xbox not the assistant :rotfl: ).£179.99 please.NOOOOOO the !!!!!!s overcharged me again :eek: .
walked to CS,explained what happened,shown the lady where,she had to get a manager,shown him.He took a few numbers,did some checking.CONGRATS he said you have got yourself a free X-box:j .THANK-YOU i said as we walked back to the CS desk,where the nice lady who had first looked gave me my money back and the x-box.:D as i walked out of the store,thinking what a great bunch they all were.Is it all the smaller town stores that have the nice,pleasant staff.What a difference in attitude and manners they have.
SO MERRY CHRISTMAS and a HAPPY NEW YEAR to all the smaller town staff and may it be a great one for you all and :silenced: :silenced: :silenced: :silenced: to the bigger town CS and mangle staff (most of them, not all as there is a few good un's there) May your holidays be spent covering for your happy,drunken staff,(that you seem to look down on thinking you are something that you're not)stacking shelves and cleaning the floors,while they party........

tried 5 different stores today for xboxes. At the last one I found a display box for a core and a SEL for £184. Result I thought, paid at the till and then went to the electrical desk to collect. While on the way I notice that there is someone with a core at the CS desk. Damn. When I get to the electrical desk, I take the guy to the SEL, and its gone. So off we go to the CS desk, she tells me that the offer is over and can only refund. Without being able to show her the SEL I give up and take the refund. I don't know if the other person with the core managed an R&R, the CS Girl said they were also getting a refund.

Doh! Meanwhile my colleague at work has picked up 2 today.

Anyone else feeling a bit down that loads of people getting them and you are not . Well done for all those who have got an Xbox today.

Just got back from my quest..
Picked up the xbox360 on the octagon stand.. £184.97..charged £194.97..tried to give me difference but mentioned the policy..came back and said " no problems!"

Also got 2 psp games Vice city £27.77 but charged £29.xx so not bad for a visit to 3 stores!

Well done to all those happy R&Rers who managed a 360, didn't manage one myself. I went to two extras tonight, the first had all SEL's removed, the second had stickers over the cardboard display.

Kicking myself as i went to another large extra at 8 this morning but didn't spot it.

At one of the stores this evening a guy in front at the CS desk (where I was actually paying for something) was purchasing a Beatles CD which came up as £9.77, ohh he said I though that was on offer (before paying), off they went to CD came back and charged him £8.72!!

I could not find anywhere that showed it a £8.72
