Yeah I hear ya in regards to the kids, I got told twice, once on phone and once in branch the money had to go to mortgage, but I argued with them saying that it's getting classed as an overpayment that I may not have wanted to pay to my mortgage and would rather have the money, so we'll see what happens when we get the letter and take it from there.
I telephoned the number on the top of the letter and told them that i did not want payment off my mortgage and that i wanted it by cheque instead the girl said no problem and processed. the mortgage amount on my online banking has went back up again so its processed! just telephone them and tell them thats what you want and thats it!! lol:A0 -
Many thanks for that Ciara, I shall do that unless it turns out to be a tenner or something like that, lmao:DI telephoned the number on the top of the letter and told them that i did not want payment off my mortgage and that i wanted it by cheque instead the girl said no problem and processed. the mortgage amount on my online banking has went back up again so its processed! just telephone them and tell them thats what you want and thats it!! lolThanks to all the competition posters.0 -

Smitchy, i phoned halifax today and they said no calculations had been done, there was a backlog due to so many mortgage accounts being refunded and that i wouldnt be recieving a letter off them with calculation and figures until mid to late january!0 -
Look on the bright side.
The longer the leave it, the more you get refunded!0 -
Bleeding typical they write to us telling us they'd do it on 22nd December, they knew exactly how many customers were affected at the time, so they should allow for that, they're going the same way as the ppi department.two_faced_clegg wrote: »Smitchy, i phoned halifax today and they said no calculations had been done, there was a backlog due to so many mortgage accounts being refunded and that i wouldnt be recieving a letter off them with calculation and figures until mid to late january! Thanks to all the competition posters.0
