coffee in Thorntons (Valli and A, W and your mum - we sat in the same table and I thought of you all :) ). This distracted me for a while, but I'm still feeling a bit fuggy in the head :o

I took my friend to the same place the other week and I too thought of you and Valli although we weren't sat in the same seats.

Hope your finger is better soon, will join you with a grolsch in a little while

Today I decluttered some more stuff to the flat, and some official forms:cool:

I also bought a sealant gun:D but erm, cant for the life of me figure out HOW to get the tube in it:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:will ask DD's Dad tomorrow, since she forgot to take her cello home.

if it's like mine there is a plunger bar and a lever by it press the lever then PULL the plunger bar right back.

    74611.jpg

mine looks like this one - press the little metal lever at the back and pull the plunger

when applying you squeeze the two black handles together. Then the round disk of the plunger bar pushed the sealant out through the nozzle.

nozzle is a technical term. Plunger bar might well NOT be ;)

lemanie the asterisks were the jobs we had ear-marked to do when AnW'sMum was here.

Thanks, Toots - I am [STRIKE]very nosey[/STRIKE] erm naturally inquisitive. Well they obviously did a grand job. :D

Then we need to order her new bed.
    - We looked at that one for DD, they used to sell it at Dun*lm where it was half the price and NFs daughter has one and it is very sturdy. This is DDs bed, because it was free from SIL when we mentioned we were looking. :D

Hope your finger heals quickly PenPen.

Took boys to local indoor play place this afternoon. DS1 went in the lazer thing and DS2 went in the ball and slide place whilst I wrote a letter to lovely friend. Wish I'd taken my ear plugs though, it was very busy and very, very noisy.

Have been very OS thrifty and made a carrot and courgette cake (mixture looked VERY much like sick at all stages, as per a Billy Connolly cassette we had in the 70s ;)) and banana and walnut tea loaf (snot mixture) with some wilting fruit and veg. With the wondrous alchemy of the oven, they both look and smell fab now :j.

    Have a good weekend everyone.

ETA; Lamewolf - are you sure the 'withheld' call wasn't your GPs surgery? I used to work in a big one and because of patient confidentiality our number was withheld and we didn't leave messages unless given permission?

Valli, meant to say the other week; I've made you a household name here because of how many times I say 'Don't put it DOWN, put it AWAY' and then I noticed another catch phrase I have stolen if you don't mind? 'Because it's fine, I peg the line' - Love it, and LWs 'washing Hokey Cokey' which I also played today.

Children have mass growth spurts in the spring, in order for this to happen they need stores of nutrients... they are stockpiling the next 4 inches in height.. have a plentiful supply of cereal, bread and fruit so they can help themselves!

    oo taa

I now use the washiing hokey cokey one too LOL

I VERY BRAVELY left my washing out on the line all day - bedding and towels included - while I went to Derby to take my sister her birthday gift
