    Morning All

:bdaycake:Happy Birthday ajmoney - hope you have a lovely day!

Going to have a bath in a minute then crack on. Not sure what the plans are for today - probably not a lot as I haven't got a car until later. DH's car is in for MOT so he's got my car.

TD is on and I'm just going to refill the WM.

    Have a good day all

Hi everyone things are getting a bit hectic just now and have to find a routine so thought I would join you all. Managed to complete all todays tasks and also finish the washing/ironing. For tomorrow can anyone suggest the best way to clean my oven, it has been a long time since it has a thorough clean.

KC - best thing you can do IMO is go to Aldi and get some oven cleaner (they have the stuff that you put the shelves in a bag and leave overnight!).

scrape the yucky stuff out of your oven first. :o then spray plenty of Mr muscle spray all over (check its right for your oven first!).

make sure you put newspaper or a bin bag underneath the oven door to soak up the inevitable drips. Leave for the maximum time allowed.

Get some rubber gloves on (with handcream underneath) and scrub with plenty of hot water. Make sure you have something to reward you afterwards!

Done :D ... And will you please stop being so energetic early in the morning. I've just managed to go and switch off the sc, pot up the soup that cooled overnight and bung in a load of laundry. Floors at this time of day is scary!

if you have a fan oven avoid spray as if you get it into the vent your food will taste of oven cleaner forever. Go with wipe on/off.

Suppose I should get dressed and get on with stuff...
  • Morning all

Not got anything interesting to say, just wanted you to know that I'm up at such a silly time of the morning.

(Not mentioning that I only got back from playing at the club a couple of hours ago )

Time for hospital to get my long awaited steroid shot. Only been cancelled by the hospital once, so it's only 2 months late this time. Was beginning to lose the ability to play quickly, so pretty glad this is today.

Then back for frantic bedroom tidying. Bloke arrives back from his mother's (she has some nasty bug, as she's greyfaced and woosy, instead of her usual blonde and dozy :D). Please note I said bedroom TIDYING - no sniggering at the back there!

Hopefully, catch some zzzzzs in the afternoon, ready for seeing Mumford and Sons tonight.

It's gonna be another late one. Luckily DD is staying at her Dad's until Weds.

She would have stayed at my mother's for the first time in years (hasn't seen her since last summer). But her house is in such a state that she can't even get to the bed in the spare bedroom to take a load of complete cark off of it for DD to have somewhere to sleep. And I was banned from the house 4 years ago because I wanted to vacuum the stairs and DD1 had offered to help out.

Probably just as well. She mentioned in passing that she keeps the cat litter tray in front of the telly in the front room as there is no space to put it on the bathroom floor, and it'll take her a couple of days to clear a space in the hall to put it in front of the bathroom door. So the front door opens and 6 foot away under the coats, there will be a box of cat poo that you will have to step over in order to get to the loo. _pale_

She 'likes it how it is'. And it's not as if she's in her 90s, or alone - my brother lives there, but she won't let him do a thing either.

Laters - have to go and scratch now :(
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

  • Oh good it's the kitchen;);) - still mine is looking so much better than it did at the end of last year!:j

Dining room is still a room of doom though.

2 charity bags full of stuff we don't need anymore out - might go and fill a third....:D

    Catch you later!
