Morning all,
Just been decluttering emails for the wedding (trying to get quotes for having my cupcakes made as my Mum now doesn't think she'll be able to do them - it's stressing me out now, as it was the one thing I'd given to someone else to organise). My Mum seems to have no idea how expensive weddings can be, as she did everything herself when she got married (including making her dress).
I'm off for a coffee with LadyL at 10.30 if anyone has any messages they'd like me to pass on.
House is looking respectable, although I do have to put a load of washing away that I managed to get in the machine before my friend came over. I also need to hoover the carpet cleaner off the living room carpet, as her baby was sick on it 3 times (not just little puddles either).
I'm so pleased your cat returned dancemum.:T
Enjoy your time with you know who Miss A, Master W and their Mum. Pass on a hug from me too if she isn't all hugged out. It sounds like you all flew very hard yesterday.:A
Off I go then,

I was only going to ask for help with tracing the owner. Would have been happy to keep it if they couldn't be found (even if DH was definitely not impressed with the idea). They'll just kill it... try a cat charity
It wouldn't stay in the house, but has been back this morning for some breakfast. Some boys came past and gave us a clue as to who it belongs to, so we'll be calling on our way up to the market.
A slightly earlier, if still very slow start to the day. It's taking me longer to recharge my batteries than I thought. Pie and crumble turned out nice yesterday and the bread mountain is reducing slowly. The freezer is also back to normal, so things are looking up. DS2 and I are going to go for a walk soon - calling at a friends' and getting some fruit and veg from the market. We may also call on another friend as he wants to show off his Kung Zhu hamster and I want to say thanks for the cat food she gave us last night.
Will be back later for some flying.0 -
Hi everyone things are getting a bit hectic just now and have to find a routine so thought I would join you all. Managed to complete all todays tasks and also finish the washing/ironing. For tomorrow can anyone suggest the best way to clean my oven, it has been a long time since it has a thorough clean.
Hi and welcome! I don't think you've had a tree yet (so you're spotted and receive the welcome pm).
:xmastree:
As far as the oven is concerned, there are quite a few posts about it on this thread. Anything removable can be soaked in the bath with biological powder, for example. HTH.0 -
Terrible prices at the supermarket today. wanted to put half my shopping back. I've also decided to try the natural range...can't remember name.....toilet cleaner as it might be gentler on the septic tank. I also downgraded a level for bleach....which I can't bring myself to give up but I do really limit use of now. The place was full even at 8;30am, with kids, but most notably kids with their grandparents/grandmothers by the looks of it. What fantastic grandparents to help their children with the huge burden of childcare.
I think we should raise glasses to helpful family :beer:. I manage to borrow a friends baby boy sometimes. DH and I are hoping that when he's older we can go to loads of kid's attractions with him...that otherwise childless people would look weird at.....petting farms things like that
Having a cup of tea then will think about flying the kitchen and utility.0 -

have optimistically put washing on line (washed with on-test liquid and on-test conditioner - sadly none of these bottles were full but contain enough for about 4 loads so still:money: )
have a 'good' e bay sale to post when it's paid - DS won a 'green' laptop bag full of 'green' stationery and some extras (something to do with most improved - think his strategy of just doing enough to just pass his GCSE's was genius as he now ranks high in the 6th form because he's putting some effort in;)) anyhoo he didn't want the bag so it's been on e bay every free listing since he got it! Trouble is I will now have to traipse to the PO near the docs as they have the best selection of posting bags (I can tell you what packaging 6 Post Offices sell around here - all different lines :rotfl: as I usually combine post outs with other errands. One of the two within walking distance has the worst selection:(:o.)
Plan for today is mark, mark and more marking/planning.
DD and I have dental appointments
cat litter tray has been washed
@ oven cleaner peeps - I soaked my absolutely minging extractor parts in my bath in household soda - (can be bought in a green plastic bag from Wilkos among other places) and the grease FLOATED off.
Mind you NOTHING other than PEOPLE are allowed to be cleaned in my bath now;)Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily Dickinson
