:huh:i just got my email back fro my results
you have to laugh
only half of my list was comparable according to them
asda now dont sell fosters do they not or crunchy nut corn flakes?
so the result on the rest was tesco was cheaper by two pounds
yeah right course
oh dont forget the carrots asda dont have them either apparentlyWhat goes around-comes around0 -
Has anyone nobbled Tesco yet about their extremely misleading advertising regarding this scheme ? Or even contacted Advertising Standards or Trade Descriptions? I'm just wondering what their 'take' will be on this - surely Tesco can't get away with saying that all items on the Asda grocery site will be compared like for like - and they say they can't find standard items like carrots , lemons or corn flakes ?
I did have a blrat in my local this week - Tesco price checker denied a match for Lenor. I went into Asda and did a check myself and there were LOADS of exactly the same conditioner sitting on the shelves. I told them exactly what I thought ie that they were pulling yet another fast one on gullible customers and they just shrugged it all off. I gave them back the conditioner and got a refund.
Good luck to everyone who selectively shops only for higher priced stuff after checking the website - if Tesco can't play fair then they deserve all they get.ELITE 5:2

Can't believe Tesco is up to the same tricks that they've stopped Asda doing re: misleading adverts. Asda had to change their advert after Tesco and the other major supermarkets complained. There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.0

This would be a great advertising for Asda, like stating that their price check is like "almost" realisticSIMPLES!0

I've not much sympathy for the people who get so disappointed when they receive their "results" and find some items on the receipt havent been compared:
1)write a shopping list
2)look on tescopricecheck.com to see if the things on your list are comparable.
3)THEN go buy
4)no nasty surprises
Almost a third of the things on tescopricecheck are not comparable
and half or more of your basket must be comparable to qualify for a voucher.
Therefore shopping randomly like many people do,and just "hoping" that you've put enough comparable items in your basket, there is a reasonable chance that you will fail ...but you have chosen to buy your shopping like that, and it could have been avoided, so dont blame tesco!0 -
Well Tesco still dont think I am a customer, might have to try and phone customer service next week, seems as it still wont recognise me!Debt free since July 2013! Woo hoo! The bank actually laughed when I said I have come in to cancel my overdraft.0

Can you buy more than one item the same? For example the Banrock station wine? I was thiniing of buying 5 (then I wont confuse the issue with the case discount) but don't want to end up with 5 bottles of wine owing 50 squibs!Lead us not into temptation...
just tell us where it is and we'll find it....0
