Passive aggressive or what?
If he's done it wrong, then he obviously needs to practice more.
So stop doing his washing. If he can't be trusted with your stuff because he is that spiteful and immature, then do your own, but leave him to do his. If he is content to sit there all day stinking , then you are very much better off without him anyway.
and hide the remote control. If he can manage to watch TV by walking to the set and switching it manually when you're not there, there is sod all wrong with him other than a bit of soreness, which getting off his ar_se will help with. (said as someone who frequently has to wear an immobilising splint cast due to a completely beggared ankle - my daughter may be capable of feeding herself and me, but if I didn't shift myself and get on with it - with the help of painkillers if necessary - I'd lose even more strength and mobility)
You could even tell him that he stands a good chance of being permanently disabled if he refuses to move himself. (an evil person would add that they 'don't do cripples' at this point - remember, this is said from the standpoint of being permanently disabled myself) and that you find active men very masculine and attractive.
I'd also suggest that you get yourself something to eat before you get home of an evening. When he demands his dinner, you've already eaten, so he'll have to arrange for his own food. If he can't manage to take anything out the freezer, then he obviously isn't hungry.
He'll be the one breathing in the smell of the bleach all day. So when he complains about it 'you can get rid of it by using hot water and the mop you used to spread it all. It'll take a bit more effort than if you had done it that way first, but you've got all day'.
He'll either shape up or ship back to mummy. Win-win in my eyes.
________
My bloke broke his ankle before Christmas. He got a week of sympathy and tea brought to him. But by the end of four days, he was on crutches heading out to buy milk and bread for us as he was determined to not lose mobility. It did hurt him, but he kept moving. By the end of the week, he was doing DIY as usual, just with additional help from me and/or DD. He healed very quickly, due largely to the fact that he didn't allow it to weaken (he has unpleasant memories of a horrendous break back in the days when immobility was the prescribed treatment)
Even now, when he has spent a month helping his mum as she has been ill, he popped back here for two days and after the first day of just being together (he even sat on the sofa with me and the cat falling asleep on him for a whole 90 minutes - never been seen before), he has cleaned half the kitchen and dismantled the old oven for spares, as he hates lazing around and I was already dealing with other things indoors.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll

Tell him if he wants you to "mother" him that will be fine, but only until he's better, but also state that sons don't have "special cuddles" with their mothers, especially ones who are tired from working all day...;)Member of the first Mortgage Free in 3 challenge, no.19
