KAtsu in the rain, you deserve a badge for that.
we have 2 water butts as we are on a water meter. There is also the environmental aspect of less waste, but also, the veg patch is on the higher bit of garden and the garden tap is in the garage. I have to open the garage, and then walk further with the watering can.
I've also heard to keep the watering can by the back door to keep any grey water or if you run the tap till the water goes warm or cold. I've never done this one though as i know the kids would water the kitchen floor.0 -
This weekend we have:
- Used Tesco vouchers for a nice "free" lunch @ Livebait...

Well after my expensive weekend (which no-one has really noticed ) I've only spent £5.40 on some tights, as opposed to the £14 I nearly spent on themA positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0"Do what others won't early in life so you can do what others can't later in life"0

ventured into the local library today to find it was better stocked than you might hope for given it's size. Borrowed two books (life of Pi and Love in the Time of Cholera) instead of buying copies.know thyselfNid wy'n gofyn bywyd moethus...0

Invited myself to Mum's for lunch

Brought lunch in for today and tomorrow
Saved money on holiday excursions as I'm not allowed to do anything fun as I'm knocked up

I stayed at my parents all weekend and ate their food (they're on holiday) - that's pretty good money saving I think.
Backfired on me a bit earlier though as I realised late last night that I was still at their house and I hadn't brought any work clothes, so I had to go home this morning before work to get changed. Oh well, the extra petrol was probably quite minor compared to the electricity and food costs that we saved!
The early start this morning meant that I didn't have time to make my lunch though, so had to get a sandwich and drink from work - £3 - ouch! :eek:0 -
Just sold DD's old bed guard for £5, buyer paid me in cash :j0

- Sold an item on ebay for £50 which is more than I paid for it
- Did a survey for £2
- Used up some sprouty spuds for tea
- Fed us all 3 meals from what I had in
- Didn't turn the heating on until I couldn't feel my toes
