KAtsu in the rain, you deserve a badge for that.

we have 2 water butts as we are on a water meter. There is also the environmental aspect of less waste, but also, the veg patch is on the higher bit of garden and the garden tap is in the garage. I have to open the garage, and then walk further with the watering can.

I've also heard to keep the watering can by the back door to keep any grey water or if you run the tap till the water goes warm or cold. I've never done this one though as i know the kids would water the kitchen floor. :o

    This weekend we have:

    - Used Tesco vouchers for a nice "free" lunch @ Livebait...
    - Not used the cars much this weekend
    - Decluttered the shed to find all the old DVD's & CD's to be sold on MusicMagpie
    - Reviewed budget to make a £2K OP at the end of this week
    - Used 5p off a litre of diesel to fill up my car
    - Checked bank accounts and everything is on track so far!

    Have a great day!

Well after my expensive weekend (which no-one has really noticed :D) I've only spent £5.40 on some tights, as opposed to the £14 I nearly spent on them :)
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

ventured into the local library today to find it was better stocked than you might hope for given it's size. Borrowed two books (life of Pi and Love in the Time of Cholera) instead of buying copies.

I stayed at my parents all weekend and ate their food (they're on holiday) - that's pretty good money saving I think.

Backfired on me a bit earlier though as I realised late last night that I was still at their house and I hadn't brought any work clothes, so I had to go home this morning before work to get changed. Oh well, the extra petrol was probably quite minor compared to the electricity and food costs that we saved!

The early start this morning meant that I didn't have time to make my lunch though, so had to get a sandwich and drink from work - £3 - ouch!

    Today I have:
    • Sold an item on ebay for £50 which is more than I paid for it
    • Did a survey for £2
    • Used up some sprouty spuds for tea
    • Fed us all 3 meals from what I had in
    • Didn't turn the heating on until I couldn't feel my toes
    • Responded to an email from an employer about a job I applied for which is loads more money/car than the one I start next month. If I get it I will be able to dramatically up my over payments, sell my car and use the proceeds to over pay the mortgage:D
    • Made sure I had at least 5 :money:things to list on this thread:)
    Save £10,500 - £2673.77 - 25.5%
    Pay off £7000 - £1743 - 19.4%
    Make £2021 extra income - £99.75
