    I'm impressed! - showering in the dark, eating freezer surprise in the dark...we're almost cloned! You'd be welcome to stay at my house any time :rotfl:

    Ironically, I've had a lamp on all evening :o

    Weather has been dreadful here so easy to be MSE, I've stayed in and avoided shops, so NSD and NPD, but a blooming boring way to spend a holiday. So, will be out and about tomorrow, and the next few days, though still will be very frugal e.g. walking and nice (but cheap) lunches out with friends.

    One slightly un-MSE things though is that I unexpectedly acquired an extra puss-cat on Sunday...he's GORGEOUS, (big blue eyes :)) and so far has cost nothing as the person passing him on, gave me everything he needs for now. In the past, if someone had asked do you want to take this/that and t'other, I'd have been embarassed and said no, but not now...I simply said, give me everything you have, I want no unexpected expenditure this month :T :money::T

    Can't think of anything else, except am waiting for H/Base to announce a 10% off day or something so I can use my vouchers to get my paint/compost. Thought they'd have something for Easter, but haven't seen anything. Will hold onto the vouchers until there is a sale to maximise them. I can't paint outside in this weather anyway.

    BM has just beeped as my next loaf is ready...:)

    Sweet dreams, all. Keep up the good work.

    LB xx

    Haven't got the email yet, but have checked out the H/Base site - my paint isn't in the sale...:mad:. Story of my life, honestly!

    If it was in a 10% sale, there's be £3 off...is it worth waiting for??
    How [STRIKE]tight[/STRIKE] MSE, do I want to be?

    Decisions, decisions. Wanders off muttering darkly to self.

    I always try to shower in the dark too.. although with the street lights coming into our house it's never really pitch black. I only do it because I can't stand such a bright light first thing in the morning, but i see it's money saving too :T

    - heating now turned to low so it never comes on!
    - charged phone at work
    - now watching tv with no light on
    - had £10 from surveys
    - didn't have chips for lunch - had bought in from home food instead
    - Tesco shop being delivered tomorrow - with voucher - saves time, money and petrol
    - worked 5.5 hours overtime this wk, more to come
    -
    Mortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.

    * Didn't have the TV on last night (the box was having a dickyfit) - glad its not broken and saved a nights sofa-loafing
    * Ate fruit provided by work
    * Charging mobile (infact I only remembered to plug in because I came on here to report!)
    * YouGov survey - already upto 800 points from mid-Jan!
    * Checked that I'd received all my bonus points on my Nectar account - can't believe that I've managed to collect £41.02 worth of points. Not sure how long its taken me - perhaps 2 years. I do a some food shopping but nothing on a regular basis, occasional petrol fill ups, I was with British Gas for a year, I put a nectar card on my BF's key ring as he sometimes pops in at lunchtimes, I do Nectar searches every month. But WOW - £41.02. Infact they're worth £82 if I take my nieces for a day out at Drayton Manor.

    Anti-MSE
    * Taking a take-away round to a friends tonight.
    * Drove to work like a maniac.
    * Heating back on - twas freaking freezing last night and also had a load of washing to dry
    * I've enquired about Hula-hooping lessons :rotfl:at £5 a pop. Start those in May.

    LavenderBee - know you are focussing on spending as little as poss - but do remember to have a good time whilst you are off work - you are allowed to treat yourself now and again

    Also - was just looking on nectar.com and can see that there is a 250 bonus points offer for Homebase on their at the mo.
