Em, nearly had a NSD, just bought some No More Nails for new house, plus diesel but as that was needed it doesn't count :p

Cooked a large chicken for dinner tonight, also lunch tomorrow, dinner tomorrow night and lunch Weds. Then remembered going out for all those meals :rotfl:. Into the freezer I think. V happy though as I cooked it in my chicken brick that I got from a charity shop for £6 :)

Em, nothing else really :o. Must try harder :(

Forgot to post this in my last list but when i put petrol in my car on saturday it only cost me £32 - this was for a couple of longish journeys i make quite regularly, about 340 miles in total. These journeys, 340 miles, used to cost me £40, give or take £1 so im well chuffed that it only cost me £32 this time. It must be the fact that ive started reducing my speed on the motorways and dual carriageways from 70-75 to 65, thats all i can think of cos the cost of the fuel is still the same. Makes you think of the difference just 5 or so mph has ! : )

    Today for me:

    * got some yellow stickered veg for dinners and peaches for tasty snacks
    * Made bread rather than buying some, using all ingredients at home. New recipe that is not as tasty as my favourite but the flour is around half the price, if not a bit less.
    * made some tasty fruit buns using market fruit before it goes furry and sugar substitute BBE last summer - flour BBE 2009! DH says they are tasty tho! Did have to buy eggs but went to the MrT store so I could get some yellow sticker bargains.
    * done my weekly RM data entry and postal sorting
    * tried to survey but got kicked out as misread a Q so ticked wrong box!
    * done some knitting - a cheap-ish hobby? Yesterday I got wool for knitting in the Range rather than HobbyCraft or John Lewis, so it isn't too dear

negotiated car insurance - they even matched the topcashback cashback! approx saving £110
negotiated utilities contract - minimum saving £125 (possibky more if prices rise as Martin predicts)
re-assessed sky package - £17 per month saving
coupons used in supermarket - £3.65
Tesco DTD - 12p (every little helps!)
surveys completed today - £3 (£20 also redeemed from previous surveys)

Just sent OH off with another left over chicken and bread sauce sandwich. Apparently it's his new favourite so he won't mind having it for at least the next two days :D

Still at the Ils, and they went on hols this morning so they said we can take anything we want that will go off while they are away, like the contents of the fruit bowl, milk, bread, fridge contents.

I'm just doing some review rating and also done some survey network surveys this morning, but not able to do a lot as i am entertaining the kiddies while DH is at a meeting. I'm teaching the biggest how to play snap and go fish.
