    • Used tesco clubcard vouchers to get a free meal at Strada and also 12 free blockbuster rentals
    • £5 reward from Halifax
    • Cat insurance has gone down by 8p a month
have a great weekend everyone.. (i think i may be slightly addicted - don't worry it'll wear off :rotfl:)

    • Have been really good with the grocery spends and am cooking most things from scratch
on a different note am dithering about whether or not to cancel our milk man...i would feel really bad about doing this but the milk has went up another 5p per pint meaning it is 55p per pint.....i can get 2 litres in the local shop for 99p so financially its a no brainer but i like to support the local business people...dont know what to do

    Another busy one here.
    • OP - £1.60
    • vivatic £1
    • attempted lots of other surveys that didn't work.
    • Copied 3 reviews onto ciao
    • received £3 from Pc, so i could request £6 from paypal and i have pre-paid that off the mortgage before it arrived.
    • Done some reading/rating on ciao and DY.
DH just mentioned he has to go to london on the Tuesday after the next bank hol weekend so he is tempted by a weekend away either at his mums or their 2nd house on the kent coast. Will have to do a bit of juggling but it should not be too expensive. I have some vouchers for sainsburys we could use for food. I had thought they would do for the hols in August but life is for living and i am working so hard at the moment we need a break.

Took me ages to find this thread!
    Today for me:

    * parked in free parking
    * got some fruit and veg from market (and lugged it around town)
    * got a jar of cheap WW jam from poundland (they only had one left in the flavour I wanted :()
    * used vouchers for some much needed new underclothes
    * used boots points for some new things and No7 voucher too (still spent £20 tho :() I've decided to use the boots points whenever possible as otherwise they just sit there for ages and I use more of my own cash
    * did a Tolly survey and a p*c* (thanks so much to Linz)
    * got another foundation sample so a few days of free foundation to try
    * drank tap water with my lunch treat in town (don't think the food place often get asked for TW as the girl seemed quite confused) and got my loyalty points
    * got shoes heeled - far cheaper than new shoes (I've always done this but it is MSE, so I thought I could add it - not that I imagine anyone here throws away shoes with worn heels - not unless the rest of the shoe is ruined :D)
    * went to a different library for new books - ordered some in to my local branch so I didn't have to carry them :D
    * did my dorset cereal spins

    Wow, me again :o

    * done my dorset cereal spins
    * boots survey on yesterday's shopping trip (didn't win an IPOD :()
    * banked another 2 cravendale codes - only two more to go to get my third jar
    * got some reduced spinach in MrT express for tea
    * 2 loads on the line
    * DM is sending me a pair of knittng needles for my first pattern - she isn't using the size so it is more MSE than me buying a pair - tho not if we post them too and fro too often :D Things we do to save around £2
    * looked into exchange rates for my other foreign currency - need to find my euro coins and count them up.

I resisted the easy option of buying a pizza from M&S and made one at home. Not quite the same, but it did fill the gap. I haven't spent a penny this weekend, but only because I have been too busy sorting out the kitchen. I'll make up for it tomorrow, I'm sure.

We had a 5p off per litre fuel voucher for Mr T so i went and filled my car up for the first time since the start of March. Eek Fuel has got expensive. It was £50 even after the voucher. I'm pretty sure i've never put this much in before. Good job it lasts a long time is all i can say.

I have written a review on DY and pasted one across to Ciao. I submitted 3x product suggestions to ciao too.

I got an extra meal out of the brisket joint i cooked earlier in the week. It would normally do 2 meals but i got 3.

I had OOD eggs and some bruised pears, so i made a chocolate pear cake. (Like pineapple upside down cake.) That will stop the kids whinging because i didn't buy yoghurts/mousses for them.

I've not managed to do any surveys yet today as i have got screened out.

I've taken a photo of my shopping receipt to send to shop and scan. I don't normally bother as it seems too much effort for 50p, but i will see if i can get in the habit of it as it would be £26 over the year.

    • bought some reduced rhubarb and crumble mix = £1.22 = 4 puddings (frozen the rest of the rhubarb -i had to buy two packs at that price!)
    • frozen some cookies that i baked for OH to take to work that i "overcooked" :o - they are edible enough for me!
    • £2 on newvista, 0.56 on crowdology
    • saving £27 a week - my cleaners gone on holiday for 6 weeks!! i pay for both my dad's house and mine to be cleaned as i hate hate hate it...:o
    • used up some mince to make cottage pie filling - have frozen it
    • had a free coffee machine from work - it's our "incentive" present we get every few years - i don't drink coffee, it will be ebayed :rotfl:
