Jediteacher, you can get special cushions from the mobility shop that have a U shape cut out to take pressure off your tail. I used one when when I fractured a vertebra at the base of my spine and I would think it would help with the piles thus enabling you to sit straight

You've just reminded me that I had a special cushion after I had my daughter due to a forceps birth and all the stitches. I will have to hunt it down. Thanks again Maryb:beer:

  • Hello everyone..hpe your all ok..hugs and wishes for those that need them...
No sun today but it wasn't to bad..i went to the help for heroes charity shop that has opened very conviniently up the road from me...yay..went in and had to almost walk out again..it was bliss pure heaven..lots of great things and the prices were low..only took £3 with me so i couldn't spend too much..i got a knitting bag with wool and needles for a £1,2 canvas pictures of flowers for 75p,a old fashioned glass jug..very heavy 50p ..so i was very happy..had to leave though as the girls were starting to notice lots of their own toys and books in there...whoops..will go next wk when fern is at school..and iris is with her dad...
Went to my daughters for lunch(noodles) and coconut tarts..lovely..her chap is employed for the foreseeable future..and they got paid..so thats a relief..she did a huge shop online and really stocked up..we did her meal plan too..if she sticks to it they have enough for 2 months without going shopping..she asked for recipes too..so fingers crossed ladies she might turn out to be old style...
will have to pop back later its tots bathtime...and boy are they grumpy...
    take care

Joined Costco today so going to keep all receipts for a year to see if it's worth it. I think it will be and even where stuff like meat is about the same price as the supermarkets the quality is so much higher. Anyone else use them? I'd love to know what you buy.

Ma, there is a big Costco thread elsewhere on the boards, I'll track it down and post a link. It's got long lists of what is good to buy and what isn't. I love the place and now we've moved I drive 90 miles each way to go there (tied in with other appointments for MSE reasons of course). There's loads on the other thread but the meat is IMV much cheaper than supermarkets and is fantastic quality.

    I'll find the link....

Costco - meat is terrific, I bulk buy it then divide it up and freeze in portions. Milk is £1.45 for 6 pints, we save the membership over the year on milk alone. Their own make soap powder is good, huge big tub that should last me a year and was about £15. Fruit & veg is dear.
Really fedup here listening to the OH moaning on & on about money & petrol. Think I'll go for a long bath and barricade the door then use earplugs.

    RANT ALERT

Been another tiring day today, all i've done now is be shattered for months. My whole body is aching and i feel like i've got no energy. Think i've over doing again it.

Anyways been on the phone constantly all day, finally got free school meals sorted. Turns out they a glitch on the system which says i'm not eligable for school meals but OH is. So have to fill out another form and get school to fax it over and hopefully that will be sorted.

Got the gas bill today its a whopping £258:eek::eek::eek:, i'm not impressed in the slightest, dreading the electricity bill:(. So need to try and over pay that as well as everything else.

Me and OH have to the dreaded "talk" tonight with coddy, he's picked up some things from school and the other kids about sex. He has no idea what the heck they going on about, what can i say he's clueless its our fault, we just think at 10 yr old he too's young. But he said the word sh*g ,when we asked what it meant, he said he thinks its a xbox game. This is the kid who get embarrassed over seeing people kissing on the cheek. His mates who was very him is very world wise and has obviously been saying stuff to him. So i feel terrible, he's not a my little boy any more.

So tonight think were going to have spicy potato skina nd going to hav e a go at making veggie burgers with yellow split peas and stuffing. Gawd knows what they'll taste like. Probably end up eating toast instead,:rotfl:
