Leave ya' to carry on for the day with the thread that, as someone put it, has "reinvented itself" several times - would that be a case of = its had more reinventions than Madonna has then?:)

:rotfl:Oh Ceridwen, you do make me laugh. Thanks
I have this 'waste' thing that stops me from binning almost anything if I can make another meal out of it .Plus of course left overs when cold get frozen for another day.
That is so me JackieO, but I'm not so good at logging my freezer contents :(

No worries, I took it as a joke as well :)Hope yout tadpoles grow little legs. I sometimes get the odd frog in my garden and the nearest tiny pond is four doors down from me. I think its facinating to see how they evolve though.re the tumble drier I have never owned one and can think of nothing nicer than a line of washing blowing in the breeze on a sunny day and the smell when you are ironing it just couldn't be reproduced.
    Have a good day :):):)

Btw are you ever tempted to go to someone and say are you mad?...my next door neighbour never hangs her washing out NEVER! I have come home form work this morning and her tumble drier is humming away in her garage wafting its overpowering fabric conditioner smell down my drive:eek: I know its each to their own and all that -but its such a lovely day..and the sun is free;) I havent used my tumble drier which is burried under a pile of camping gear in the garage for 5 yrs!

You'd dislike me then as I too have my tumble drier running at the moment despite the sunshine!:rotfl: It is much quicker and although the sun is free it does not stop the pollen getting on the clothes and thus really setting off my hayfever and my daughters. It is the only so called 'luxury' that I would not be without and although it does cost money it is a sacrifice I am just about abe to make.

Well we've had a productive few days. The spare room is finally clear (the rest of the house is not!) readdy for the carpet layers tomorrow. We've painted the skirting board and today we are painting the ceiling and walls. Will have to sort out my daughters room as we dumped stuff in there yesterday and as she went to a friends house for a sleepover it would be great if I could do this before she goes to sleep.

Also managed to clean down the oven and ctach up on all the washing up (this is meant to be my hubby's job as he doesn't really do anything else but he's not been doing it!), cleaned and scrubbed the sink and I got the bathroom cleaned and hoovered.

My main aim at the moment is to sort out our bedroom so that we can fit in a rocking cradle and put away all the laudary I have done this week!

Got a bit of a bargain the other day as we're doing up my daughters room. She needs curtains, duvet, duvet covers and sheets. Went onto a well known catalogue site and they were having a sale so got her some lined curtains for £6, duvet for £8, Duvet set for £4 and some sheets for £2. Was very pleased with these and it will make her room feel like a little girls room rather than a nursery as it does at the moment.

Anyway hopefully we'll get more done today. Hope everyone has a good day.

Beautiful day here today and I have three loads of washing on the line and number four in machine. :) Am hoping to get some order from total chaos today, there are boxes everywhere and if we end up having to stay here the extra two months (and it looks lamost certain we will!!) I cant live in such chaos. Off to collect a cabinet from freecycle in a minute - I have donated our large cabinet to CS as it wont fit in new place, and then found someone giving one just perfect for new place away today !!!

Did manage to clear out car yesterday as it was so bad that was upsetting me too - thankfully picking up the cabinet means OH had to remove seats which menat having to clean it out. :)

My kitchen windowsill is groaning with some many seedlings all growing nicely - my question is when can I put them into big bags and leave them outside - is it still too early? I was hoping to get them out soon so I could get more planted up in their place.
  • Sat out in the garden to have my breakfast this morning with nothing but the birdsong for company :).

Sun is out, sky is blue, the washing is on the line, all of the seedlings are sunbathing on the lawn and the bread maker is on the go.

OH and both DD's are out of bed (not bad for this time on a sunday morning).

Feel like I could move mountains today so with any luck all of the housework will get done before I'm back to work tomorrow.

Hope you are all getting your share of the big yellow ball in the sky.
I am playing all of the right notes just not necessarily in the right order :D.

Wonderful sunshine here too today - it really cheers you up, doesn't it?

I have had a lovely weekend so far - embroidery class yesterday morning and the tutor said, who is going to the Brockenhurst show this weekend? I was going to go today but DD wanted dropping off at her job in Burley an hour early which meant I had time to go yesterday afternoon - it's one of those ooh! girly type textile/craft fairs and I did [STRIKE]blow loads of cash[/STRIKE] spend a bit of money but that's what my egg money pot is for so I was really pleased as I didn't know it was on. Also, it was really grey yesterday and I wouldn't have wanted to go in the sunshine today.

This morning, Sainsbury's delivered my first order using DS's "colleague discount card" and I saved nearly £14 on my shop :T Sadly, DS has handed in his notice, so I'm going to have to shop madly with them for a bit and stock up before he leaves :rotfl:

Best news of all: we have four new baby chicks this morning! And one more trying to break out of its shell. They are SOOOOO cute. And just in time for Easter! I think two are roosters but hey, never mind. I'm just wondering whether to give them to the two broody bantams - as they are full-sized hen chicks maybe not - so I am off to buy chick crumbs this afternoon. I will post pictures later (well, DD will post pictures, I'll just take the credit :D).

    Happy Palm Sunday to all!

    afternoon all :)

Been an eventful time here in mad house. Money seems to fly away but thats life.At least we have sun now!!

Coddy's been at cadets all weekend, first time away with an organisation thats not the school. So scary but we've had no phonecalls so must be good.

Yesterday tooks snips and his mate out, we were out the whole day, they didn't want to leave each other awww. But they enjoyed themselves.

Its weird here one day its quite warm, i even have a tan . While others days its blooming cold. Hmmm seasons all gone to pot me thinks.

Well al the tomato seeds have sprouted, four cucumbers have spruted in the past couple of days, tried JenniO's technique and its great. The one's outside, yes i know i'm daft, ot so good. But there's still hope. Also been trying out Kittie's technique which Jen told me about and so far so good. Plans slowly coming along. My aim is to at least have something to sustain us through the winter, my OH thinks i'm mad, but its worth a shot.

Been getting rid of more carp, took the LL dehumidifiers (broken) back to hers and in return got bottle of wine :D. Yay OH's hates red wine, so more for me. Snips got a tiger off her, ended up sitting in her house drinking, having biscuits and snips being spoilt by her.

Also came back with a plant off close friends, so off to plant that in a bit. My yard is slowly becoming more green by the second, pea's are still shooting up, salad pots slowly coming too. Ah i love this time of year, makes me joyful, even if the hayfever gets me.

Wow bertie your tadpoles are growing fast. Oh and the neighbours thing, i'm told i'm mad all the time!! Last week i was cleaning the bedroom windows with a mop!

I've noticed people growing toms and cucumbers in the front yards on our street recently. Telling ya i'm changing the street little by little! My madness is spreading hahaha

Well off to check the plants and have my cuppa outside. The fat knacker eyeing up the salad pots, scabby cats chewing at the kale with a piece of cheese stuck on her claw. Snips and his dad are playing spongebob, so they happy for now.

Oh just remembered have to make some bread. knew i forgot something, ah well, luckily i got a bread machine to make the dough.

  • :o:oenjoyed roast dinner for tea last night i cooked a roast pepper aswell to use up veg .today in sainburies garage bought 2 packs of crumpets for 59p 2 for price of 1 to use up some strawberry jam for breakfasts.planted some petunia plants in containers in the front and back garden,to brighten everything up.on a bit health drive at the moment to look after oneself a little bit tend to worry about every one and everything and forget me so drinking more water from tesco value mineral water.and eating more fruit and veg and today so far have had banana and apple and fresh orange juice .also had warm bath with couple drops of lavender oil and 99p strawberry face pack from Boots which used points to pay for so feel like i have had a facial for free so hence feeling quite chilled today what with lovely weather aswell .recommend a relaxing destress to anyone if you have had a tough week and do not feel guilty about it its good for your well being:)
  • :Awhat do they say on that Loreal advert because your worth it :rotfl:thats what i kept telling myself this morning when i knew i d got washing up to do and 3 loads of washing but opted for the destressing wallow in the bath and really found it relaxing so i shall incorporate this new found indulgence into my weekly household routine wishing everyone out there a relaxing day too.:)
