Hi to all the delurkers, lovely to see you back Welsh Camper and Sammy Kaye...Skint but happy with my lovely family

:)Roseanna, best of luck with your walking and rehabilitating yourself. I have ME and at my worst was a very weak and feeble creature. I slowly got it back together with gentle exercise and can walk 8-10 miles a day at best at a leisurely pace. My ultimate ambition for a year or two in the future is to lose my excess weight and do the Coast to Coast path. It's a 2 week commitment but I feel it would be a lovely thing to do and something great to recall when I'm past it and fit for sitting in the deckchair on the prom.
I like to go on walking holidays from time to time and these all women groups are a in ages ranging from 30-something to 70 something. In my late forties it's not at all uncommon for me to be the slowest and have women in their sixties / early 70s leave me for dust, dammit!
In fact, as I usually just bobble around the city centre on foot and ride the pushbike for anything further afield like the allotment, I should get walking. It certainly limbers up a stiff hip which otherwise gives me a bit of gyp as doesn't seem to like a sedentary life.
One thing I did notice about those holiday days when we were hiking 8-10 miles is that it (ahem) "keeps you regular".
Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

Angel, that is the most fantastic timing! I'm so glad that the midwife was local and could get to you so quickly.
I'm also astounded that you've got the energy left to remember what happened when and that you managed to type it all up.
Many, many congratulations to you and your family!
Now, please make sure that you get all the rest you need and don't forget to post up a piccy of your darling little man when you get the chance.0 -

Gailey - congratulations on the birth of Marley, glad you got your home birth. I wanted it both times but didnt get it.
Lovely day here so went the park at 8.45am and then the boys planted their sunflower and carrot seeds when we got home.
Shopping arrived from tesco yesterday - spent more than I wanted to but after shopping at tesco, netto and sainsbury I just couldnt get it cheaper.
The five items of toys and a broken DS I listed on ebay have all sold so thats a little more cash for holiday. Broken DS went for £18 so im pleased!Mum, wife and dinnerlady!0 -

Congratulations Gailey. You probably aren't thinking about no. 4 just yet but as I understand it , each subsequent birth is faster than the one before it! Please rest before you get back to your hectic lifestyle.
Best wishes
