Have had a lovely day visiting my parents with the kids. We met at Ogden Water and had a walk round before returning to their cottage where a wondersfull yellow orb appeared and meant me and my mum could sit in the garden chatting. Obviously all the adults ended up outside whilst the kids played in the cellor! My dad appears to be stock piling wood for the next 10 years and the house is now surrounded by logs ..bless him! Whilst we were sat out a little field mouse appeared from under the wall by the bird feeder and continued to bob in and out the whole time we were there..its was very cute!.....I just keep having to repeat to myself that I am not jealous...I am not jealous..I am not jealous....
Have already decided that my tent will fit on their lawn ,so will be taking the kids camping to grandma and grandads in the summer! (as long as ex is willing to look after the cats and dogs) which reminds me I need to find out how I book time off from my cleaning job! Yay a free holiday ..well any time away from home is a break isnt it!
Hope everyone enjoys what is left of the weekend...I do not like this whole loosing an hour thingy and am feeling very tired now, I had to get up at 7 (which was actually 6!) to go do my cleaning this morning and feel ready for bed. I must make myself have an early night or I will suffer all week. I like my sleep far too much to loose any!

Annie56, I am so sorry to hear your news. Haven't been around this thread for some weeks so have no idea about what is going on with everyone, but really hope that you and anyone else who is facing difficulties can find the time and space to get through them.

It has been a pretty good day in Somerset as well.

Well I have managed to achieve something today which is a miracle considering how badly my head hurts. Feeling quite pleased as I have found the seed kits I bought for the kids ages ago and we have spent half an hour planting them up, so I now have three little plastic kits on my windowsill with lettuce, pumpkin, tomatoes, courgette, sweetcorn and peppers all planted. There is also a set of sunflowers, pansies and calendulas too. SO we should at least have some stuff when we move. There are loads of seeds left which I have put away for now, but tomorrow I am thinking of buying a small growbag of compost and simply throwing lettuce seeds all over it, which we did year before last and ended up with lettuce for the whole summer.

Washing dried on line and uniforms all ready for the week, have even got one of the cookers photographed for selling and will list it tonight!! Hoping to get double pram and highchair listed tomorrow and some more bits as the week progresses.
  • Oh, Shegar, I hope you get some help, you relly sound like you could do with a break. Like the sound of your little wren - we feed the birds here, have chaffinches, sparrows, blue tits and sometimes a woodpecker - they cheer me up too.

Annie - so sorry to hear your sad news; the good news about your home won't make it any better but at least it will give you something positive to think about and you can plan your future with the people you love.

I had one of those 'Doh!' moments today - we'd just left M&S with a jar of their delicious caremelised red onion chutney when it hit me - here am I , a so-called OS devotee, and I've just bought chutney!!! I am suitably embarrassed and would greatly appreciate any recipes for the above.
