Hi,
I have decided to take on the Isle of Man bank - I have a current account with them with an o/draft limit of £2,500.00. I keep going over this limit because of the charges. I have been back in the UK for 7 years and opened the account when I lived on the Island for the previous 10 years.
Have tried to search the threads but can not see this bank mentioned!! Have I missed it or am I the first?

I will be corrected if I am wrong but the Isle of Man has its own courts and are not subject to the jurisdiction of the High Court. Also as I recall it ahs its own Parliament and Laws so I am not sure that you can claim in England against a Isle of Man bank under English law you may have to bring an action in the Manx courts under Manx law.As I am not the Pope or legally qualified I may be wrong so feel free to get a second opinion from a qualified person0
