Have looked on Amazon and the MacBook I want is £1,200  (but still £100 cheaper than PC World). So, whilst I pay my mum back, let's see how much I can get towards that in the way of Amazon vouchers :j.
All the other stuff I wanted from Amazon (including the epilator) has been shoved on my Christmas list - I can wait, and the MacBook is a far greater incentive to get those vouchers coming in.
I already have £10 in there, so only £1,190 to go.

Morning everyone
I've had a good MSE start to the day. Paid my mum's phone bill and managed to drop it down a tariff too. So next month it will be £15 instead of £25 :T. Also paid £20 off my mum's credit card.
I have just over £17 in my purse and that has to last me until next Wednesday. I put £20 petrol in the car on Monday so hopefully that will last. OH is in Coventry until Friday (literally, I'm not just ignoring him) so I don't have to drive him to the station or pick him up for the rest of the week.

Just paid another £8 off my mum's Halifax card, just to get the amount even again
.
I am running low on some skincare products. I love No7 stuff and got a load for Christmas, which is just running out now. I have a £5 off voucher, so was going to get some cleanser for £3 instead of £8. But I thought, that could be another £3 towards my mum's card. So I have routed around in my toiletries box (do we all have one of those or is it just me?) and I have 3 half-full Avon cleansers in there :T. That will hopefully see me to Christmas, or very near to it.
I also ordered a new bikini for the holiday - but it's going back and I am going to stick to my old one.
Go me!! :j

Just done a few calculations and have paid another £10 off my mum's card. That is it for now, or I will leave myself short. So I owe £1,800 and the Halifax card is down to less than £200 :T.
So, targets for clearing the £1,800
£600 - September/by October pay-day (so I can earn the extra during September)
£600 - October/November pay-day
£600 - November/December pay-day
Which will mean I have cleared it by my target date of 16th December :T.

I'm also guilty of the toiletries box (more than one actually
) When I started tackling my debt I decided not to buy anything new till I'd used up the old ones. It took me nearly a year just to use up all my half used deodorants, let alone anything else! There's a thread on it somewhere, we're not alone
New bikini? Holiday? Did I miss something?!
How did your second matched bet work out?

Know what you mean. I have a toiletries box and a cosmetics box. They're both pretty big and overflowing - so I think I need to use up every last product before buying any more. But if I get some for Christmas, that's fine.
I'm off to Spain for a few days from 5th September with OH. It's all quite last minute as I wouldn't have gone anywhere if my sister were still pregnant, and she was due to have a caesarian on the 5th September. But seeing as Kian is here and out of hospital, we are going. OH is paying for it as there is no way I would pay without having paid my mum back.
The second matched bet went a bit wrong. Don't get me wrong, I haven't lost my money. But the site that I got the free bet from had a bet-through requirement where you had to bet the amount you won 6 times before you could get the money out. I didn't win on the first bet, so on the second I placed a ridiculous bet on a tennis match that I was sure would lose - but it won and I ended up with about £80 that I can't get out. So my matched betting project is on hold, whilst I try to get this money out, without losing any of it.
Sorry, that was a bit long-winded!!

Thanks Pap. I might join that next month.
Feeling good health-wise at the moment Pap and I'm hoping the few days away will get me raring to go in September .

Lovely - enjoy the sunshine, I think the summer is over here!
I remember having to meet the WR when I used to do blackjack - it could be a right pain!
Have you asked over on the GIOL board for advice on the best way to get it out?
