The Santander £30 minimum withdrawal

This has actually been their policy for a long time now although they haven't been implementing it at all branches.
I know because I've done a lot of Mystery shops at Santander and they always wanted a check on whether the teller would let you get out under £30 as it was not supposed to be permitted.:rotfl:0 -
There's a NatWest machine in Manchester issues fivers. It's the Piccadiily Gardens branch opposite Kro. First one I've found so far0

The HSBC cash machine on the Salford University campus used to give out fivers when I was there (2000-2003). It's the only one I've ever used that has done so.0 -
1.Switch to the "Co-op Bank" then you can withdraw only say £6.50 at the post office counter for free!
2. In addition you will have a bank that gets at least 80% in customer satisfacton polls. So they must be doing a lot correct.
3. Leaflet "Banking through the Post Office" (from the Post Office).
Also on the Post Office websit counters services under "Using your account".
Simple! :T0 -
Seems a good policy to me. Always wish these people would just use the cash machine and stop holding up the people who actually need to speak to staff0

No RBS machines dispense £5 notes in England as far as I know.
rbs colmore row
rbs tesco branded one new street in birmingham
dispenses £5 notes
i see your point above - guess it speeds up counter service in some way but i guess cash machine can sometime be useless (e.g. not dispensing correct amount)0 -
Abbey were TERRIBLE with counter service b4 as they also used it as a CS place. so im not surprised they've done this to help reduce the q's. but WHAT THE HELL do u do when u have £8 in ur acc? post office is no good, ull b queing up for an hour. and also theres hardly any post offices around anymore.0

"Yes - £10 withdrawal please"
"I'm sorry sir - minimum over the counter is now over £30. There's a cash machine outside."
"OK - give me £31 please"
"Certainly - there you go. Anything else sir?"
"Yes, can you deposit £21 into my account please?"
Quicker to have given me the £10 then huh?
What is the point of this I wonder. Next thing you know they'll not be handling money at all. And I wonder what you would do if you wanted the last £5 from your account?
I see your point but would have been quicker for you to use ATM outside. The day I had my Beautiful son is the day everything came together for me. For someone so small he done so much and made me complete.0
