  • About to post letter to NatWest requesting they pay money back should I send it to local branch or head office?

  • I am sure this is already on here somewhere(but haven't read all the 108 pages of this thread), but thought it might be worth mentioning again for anyone who is only at the start of the reclaiming process.
NatWest only charge £5 for sending your old statements, if you send £10(as suggested on this site) they will just send it back(think this is just a delaying tactic) and ask for £5 instead.
    Good luck

Either will do - a few people have hand delivered letters to their branch and the branch has passed it to the correct department. You could try that then they won't be able to say the didn't receive it ;)

Q How much do I come it with up front if using Money online
Q I am away for much of May and so if I start my claim on Monday !!16/04/07}as planned --is there a danger of not completing my bits and responses in time scales and therefore get my claim thrwon out by the Court?
    Any advice please.

    Hi

It depends on the amount of charges your claiming back, I'm claiming up to £612 back and being charges £80 court fees. Another person on here is claiming £555 back and as me is being charged £80. I guess the fees go in bands, as mentioned the larger amount of claim the higher the fee.

Thanks again for all your help. The waters are finally clearing!:D

Just a final point, what do you reckon about the fact that since Dec. '05 I have been paying total charges of £28 which only seem to indicate the Unarranged Borrowing Fee.
Do you think it wise to claim for this total amount or deduct the £10/£12 ADGD Fee?

    Thanks again.
    Chris

I asked this question when I was doing my 1st letter, I was advised to claim the whole £28 as it doesn't include A/gold so I did, as I said earlier, it must have been right as I got an offer.

    go get 'em ;)
  • Thanks Tozer. I am going to scan onto my computer at home and try to transfer on to notepad or word so I can copy and paste it over the weekend. I think I get the jist of most of it but would like a 2nd opinion and some advice of the action I need to take if any. Thanks again for your help.

    Hi All,

I,ve just started out on this venture and just wanted to know who I post the first letter to. Is it the head office address or my local Natwest branch. If it is the head office can some give me the address please?

    Thanks ;)
